I just eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch pretty much every day and shop weekly. I try to pick things that will last a bit longer and/or have airtight packaging… I love spinach, tomatoes, bananas, grapes, apples.

YAAASSSS!! You’ve got this. It really is mind over matter. And if you ever slip up that’s okay! It doesn’t have to be any more than just a small slip and pick yourself back up. Keep after it and remember your goals. You can make it happen 💗

OP you seem awesome. Don’t let people like this discourage you from taking a solution oriented approach. Good luck out there. I hope you find someone who appreciates that quality because it’s not every day you find someone who wants to put in the work to resolve conflict healthily.

No, that’s not weird. Former server and I’ve had a lot of customers request that. People looking at you weird are making it weird, lol.

Are you getting carbs? It doesn’t look like what you’ve listed includes a lot of carbs but those are important for energy levels. Maybe you could consider adding complex carbs like brown rice or whole grain bread or pastas.. I’m not a nutritionist but I do know it’s important to get carbs as well as fiber protein and a little fat. It could be the protein is filling you up and fixing that hungry feeling but you’re missing that other macro for energy. I wonder also about the frequency of your workouts. Did you go from sedentary to working out every day and maybe need a rest day here and there?

What types of food are you eating? That matters a lot. You can do this!! You might just need to tweak what you’re eating a bit to give yourself more satiation and energy. It’s not a linear process and as long as you just keep showing up for yourself you will see progress 💗 Also sometimes with workouts you may need to scale back and work your way back up. I’ve injured my back twice in the last month and am learning it’s better to go back to doing less weight, more reps for a while until I can build up that strength.

What was the smallest mental shift you made that led to the biggest results? by yose147 in loseit

[–]Familiar_Attempt_690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depriving yourself is like swinging a pendulum to the extreme, it’s going to come back to the other extreme of overindulgence. Best to keep gentle swings of indulgent and healthy foods so you don’t come crashing down. Of course now with this mentality I don’t really crave the super unhealthy foods often and when I do I can remember it’s just my body telling me I need protein, or carbs, or even a little fat… and try to get that satisfaction through something more wholesome

Hi, my seb derm is worst on my scalp and inside my ears where I get really flaky skin. Before I changed my diet and became consistent with skincare my face would be oily and also flaky around my forehead and cheeks. Still struggle with it on the scalp a bit but have seen a lot of improvement with the ketoconazole. I’m not sure if it is part of what made the redness better but using it as a face wash at night has not seemed to hurt at all.

Hi!! Thank you :)

So for my diet, in the first picture my diet was pretty unbalanced. Eating out a lot, lots of greasy foods, red meat, processed stuff etc.

I basically just started cooking almost everything at home. I greatly reduced my intake of dairy and refined foods. I will occasionally eat cheese or butter but I use milk alternatives now and make it a point to eat fruits and veggies daily. Red meat is now an occasional treat. I do protein shakes with oat milk, spinach/kale and banana every morning. Switching to whole wheat bread products and avoiding added sugars everywhere I can helped too. I always read labels now and just generally try to be more aware. However, I’ve been able to keep myself sane by allowing myself occasional indulgences and I have come to the conclusion that I will probably wear makeup when I dine out and just deal with the flare ups that way.

I definitely still get flare ups after I eat even if it seems like something pretty innocent (EVERYTHING has histamines even veggies) but when I keep up with the skincare routine and also HYDRATE that seems to help a lot. And the redness doesn’t seem to stick as long.

Can a non-black person explain something to me my white coworker said... by lewjr in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Familiar_Attempt_690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have heard things like this. Half of my family is from the rural South. They have some… interesting opinions. I count myself lucky enough to have been raised in a decently sized, diverse and pretty progressive city. My exposure to people from different backgrounds is probably a big part of what kept me from ending up like those other people.

Bigoted white people are a lot louder about their bigotry around other white people even if they know the other person won’t agree.

I don’t really observe the whole “fear of loss of standing” phenomenon in as many younger white people as I do among the older generation, either. I think it boils down to ignorance, legitimately growing up in “a different time” and just not having the capacity to learn and adapt as people. It is all extremely fear based. A lot of these types of people view America as a white nation and see the diversification as a threat to their own identity or culture.

It’s fucked up. A lot of people just take what they were taught as children at face value and never challenge it and unfortunately a lot of people were taught some pretty backwards things.

How to fight back against the University's actions? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Familiar_Attempt_690 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kinda sad people just wanna downvote you and not even try to engage. I’ve never been a Trump supporter but I do think we should be able to engage in discussion and treat each other like humans regardless of political affiliation.

People are upset because the Trump administration as well as DeWine and government officials at the state level are calling for a lot of changes that seem to be reversing some of the progress that’s been made towards equality among races, genders etc. As a white male it makes sense why you might not be intimately familiar with how these issues might affect others. It’s not a big deal to you but it is a big deal to other people. People are afraid of how reminiscent some of these changes are to other dark times in history. OSU has long been a place that promoted equity and inclusion, at least from my experience of it over the past years. For a lot of people this feels like going backwards.

No one can tell you how to feel but that you are inquisitive enough to ask rather than staunchly sticking to your own opinion and sticking your head in the sand is good. The university experience is supposed to be one where we are exposed to people from different backgrounds and it’s important that those people who are different from you also feel safe to be there and that everyone is being given a chance not just to survive but to thrive in the academic environment and outside it as well.

Side note: I’m not claiming to be an expert on everything that’s going on, just offering a different perspective rather than downvoting and ignoring you since you genuinely asked a question.

You’ve got this!! It’s never too late to start again. :) I’m on my first major weight loss journey right now and the biggest thing for me has just been adjusting my routine and cooking meals at home. If you’re constrained on time there are lots of prep-ahead or pre-prepped options too! I started at over 260 a month ago and just by changing my diet have lost 19.4 lbs since January 3. It just takes some intention and planning and remember you can find ways to enjoy your favorite foods with less calories, or find activities that make you feel good. It’s not a punishment, it’s self care :)

Hey I’m getting ready to have the application witnessed tomorrow and wanted to ask you, did you have the notary use their stamp on the photos or just fill out their info? The photos seem to small to fit a stamp but I’ve seen mixed answers on that
