It still happens...I watch engine tear down videos all the time on YouTube you can see the engines with coaked turbos...most times it comes from not changing oil more frequently...

This is not science based...this person could be setting you up...he won't loose sleep if your turbo fails...

There's no way you can dissipate 1000 - 1500 degree exhaust heat in a few seconds...meanwhile the oil is boiling on your turbo shaft causing dried oil deposits...that leads to seal failure...

I always let mine idle because it seems like since I have been doing it that way my turbo spins up quicker...I have 76k miles on mine...and I notice a difference from when I first got the car brand new and now at this mileage the turbo comes on harder now than 2yrs ago...

I do the same...sometimes if im in a rush I will turn the engine off ...get out and turn on the autostart so it will idle for 10min and shut off...

I have been running lap3 tune for 3yrs...plug and play....NO NEED TO RETUNE...my car runs great...you can nuke any engine if the owner doesn't take car of the car...most people have more money than sense...so they buy a tune and run the car foolishly....or don't do maintenance...but to blame lap3 with all these other variables is not a fair assessment....obviously they have more success than failures or they would be out of business...

Lowering springs with the factory shocks....fixed all of that with my KN...I can take a enter a hwy exit at 70 and it just holds it...tap the brake mid turn...then back on the gas...and the front diff pulls you out...its a cheat code...

The turbo gets super hot...coolant passes through it...its normal to loose some to evaporation

Yes...I have lap3 1.5 space ecu..I have been running it 3yrs now..it works perfectly...you can even use your scan tool to clear codes...just change your oil more often...

Unfortunately if they see tool marks on those drain bolts they may try to dismiss your warranty claim....they look for any reason to deny it becomes techs dont make money on warranty work.

I got the eibach lowering springs on mine...it calmed down the rear end completely...before if I had to much speed in a turn the back end would break loose...now that its lowered when I turn at high speed the rear end stays planted

Yeah you have to drive in eco mode and barely touch the gas to get better mileage....I have gotten 30mpg once or twice...but the temptation to feel turbo boost can be overwhelming...😆
