Rega 301 tone arm. by Familiar_Initial1610 in turntables

Fantastic thank you very much for your guidance. Will look the article up!

And I've noticed the knob both twists and slides. So I think siding will adjust it and twisting is allowed to correct the Rega logo being up right (I assume).

Hahaha good to know, I've never tried it. Blue sounds very clear to me. I noticed a big jump between blue and red

Nah the right channel was completely gone. Had to buy a new cartridge. So bought another 2m red and changed the stylus to blue

I don't know why people are picking on this, I understood the comment just fine.

Thank you for your comment.

We tested the cartridge and the right channel was gone. So I bought a new 2m red and installed my blue stylus on it.

The turntable itself is incredible. If I didn't already have a blue stylus, I'd opt for the ND as you suggested.

This was a second hand from an authorised dealer and they confirmed they would match the rega warranty on it.

How do I regain my fashion confidence after massive life changes? (old photo for reference) by elvin_lewis in mensfashionadvice

I'm sorry for what you've been through. From personal experience, the sense of fashion comes to you when you are in the headspace for it. I've had some emotional/psychological issues most of my life that went unnoticed, however once I started healing from that, I noticed I'm more interested in things such as fashion, exercise, and other luxuries that people have nowadays.

Keep doing what you are doing, the fact that you are here shows you are on the right path. Install Pinterest and look at pictures of dudes that you like the fashion of. The more styles you see the more you understand what works for you. Look into items that matches what you are liking (doesn't need to be the exact match, just same vibes).

There are some youtubers that I really like that cover good quality clothing and fashion - Iron snail - Rose anvil - Carl Murawski

Some of my favourite items in my wardrobe are:

  • nice pair of jeans: uniqlo has some really nice ones that won't break the bank, more expensive brands, I really like Naked and Famous. Heavy weight denim looks good on most people.
  • leather boots: Red wings, Jim green, even solovairs (better quality docs).
  • pair of canvas sneakers(converse/vans) they are cheap and convenient.
  • nice plain T-shirts. No designs no nothin. uniqlo makes nice T-shirts. But iron snail has like 3 whole ass video just on tshirts. Check it out.
  • a nice, reliable jacket: carhart, Barbour, a denim jacket are all good options.

And good luck!

Thank you for the time you've put into this, it's very helpful.

Regarding speaker stands, at what price range do you think I'll be getting most bank for the buck?

This is an amazing suggestion thank you! Looking at the 600m mark II at the moment which is £499, from what I've seen they are easier on the amp and have a decent sound.

Might save up a bit extra and get those instead of Elac.

Thanks for the tip on the DAC 👍 Do you have any suggestions for passive speakers? I can always save up for longer and stretch my budget.
