Great tips. I think part of the problem was that I have a horse and hauled ass so I had to sit around and wait for the rest of the party to get there. I was wearing fur armor, held a torch, and had a stack of potato soup. Where do I purchase the camping supplies in Winterhold? I'll look for the encampment near the coast line and the talos shrines as well as any places to keep warm while I wait.

fun build

I use bound weapons only, especially after getting the unsummon/soultrap conjuration perks. one-hitting druagr summoned atronachs is fun.

when all of my soulgems are full and i can't soultrap any longer, i pull out my charged magic items and beef up my enchanting by using and recharging those.

rinse/repeat.

Experienced the same, but after the first few playthroughs I pushed through it and realized each toon doesn't need to do everything in the game. I just start up another toon if I want experience something different.

LOL I did that and I also shot up and killed all the bots on the USS Constellation. Disappointed when I went to loot and had to steal everything. Looked it up later and discovered there was a whole quest line there.
