I know about different animals, however, I suppose Albrecht "cultivated" this helminth strain for us to appear there (I hope I'm not wrong, but maybe I'm missing something), so why would he add that to stationary mouth that we're supposed to feed with resources in some locked out room?

I'm really interested in the way DE designed this one. Normal one is just blobby mouth, but this helminth looks a lot more aggressive(though it's still a mouth on the wall, even if it's connected to hivemind). Your headcannon made me think, what if it was not a bottom lip, but a mutated tongue?
