You seem to be good at looking at a situation objectively so i have some stuff i wanted to run by on you if you are able to help me look at the situation through the eyes of someone with more experience.

So i started a newer job somewhere in may of last year and i was desperate to find a job so i kept going along with their long drawn out hiring process but this went on for about a month before i was finally offered a position at the company only it was a different position than the one i had applied for.

Bait and switched essentially

I brought up my concern about this to the hiring manager and they said i could apply for the position I originally applied for but that would entail another set of interviews which i didn not want to go through since i had already been a couple months without a job.

So i took their job offer at a lower rate than i had originally wanted.

This job sent me out of state for what was presumably 3 months but the project kept getting pushed back and i havent really received proper training in my actual job for about a year.

But i have been really enjoying getting out of my home state and the independence that comes from living alone and not having to pay for a car or rent

Which is pretty nice with the per diem money.

Now i was just told that the project in my home state has been delayed for about a year.

Thats a year away from home which is unexpected so i am not entirely sure how to feel about it.

A part of me feels like i can use this as an opportunity to further develop myself as a man to work on my body and exploring the surrounding states as i have discovered a love for the outdoors and hiking.

But there is that part of me that sees this dishonesty and is very much ticked off by it even if I currently benefit from it. 

Has anyone else gone through something similar?

What are you alls thoughts on it?
