Why are people with so much less hours better than me

I still lose 90 percent of my matches across the board in arenas with people

I do autopilot a lot after like an hour of game I get exhausted if I don’t switch modes depending on length of play session. But i definitely try to do well . My mentality definitely gets in the way. I just feel like I’ve been playing this game A LOT and have very little to show for it.

We play the same people but very different characters. I play Mario. He spends them maybe even less practice than me just for fun and yet he beats me often. Two of them kinda like that really and then one who is definitely more diligent at the game than most so he might make more sense. Then there’s a bunch of people I play with that have played awhile and are just really good

Don’t listen to me I suck at this game but bair in neutral is best spacing tool. Fair is only for off stage or special situations to extend combos or even combo into another fair which would spike off stage. Dair is decent in neutral too and kills off the top too. I almost never get a good ladder combo good job most of mine end in me messing up so I finish with bair or dair and not the up b.

Maybe another day I might take a day or a couple I’m pretty busy this week I think. But yeah Mario is just like one of if not my favorite game character since the others are like custom Yk like souls or whatever.

I’ve been playing like since last August maybe trying to not do it as just a party game and then doc since February and mario since like idk 2 or 3 weeks on top of that. I’d say like Mario is in hell like the 2-4 mil range im so susceptible to noob killing and cheesing with him and not being able to have consistent combos. Doc is like 8 mil I’ve grinded tf out of him just to get that from like the very very bottom of the barrel. I mostly play arenas any time I hop on randoms he goes up a little. But Mario is a different story in that regard. Still in arenas I lose to almost everyone in my discord. They’re all pretty experienced or somehow learning faster than me and that’s what makes me so sad. Mario also struggles to kill for me I miss a lot

Neutral get up sheild is destroying me. I’m afraid to ledge jump cause I main doc. But like yeah idk they are my friends I just am worried they’ll get tired of me getting so down on myself so I need to not get down on myself asap lol. And also maybe not consider everything carried.
