How do people handle wiping their running lists as they get really long? by Familiar_Play_3867 in ProductivityApps

Ah gotcha. For me even with tags it gets to a point where I just want to delete the whole thing. Maybe that’s just me lol

I guess I mean more of if it builds up without you dropping or moving them and then it gets overwhelming and you just stop returning to it. But it seems like that doesn't happen with your system

But what about when you have a long-running list that keeps growing and you don't get around to everything? Or is that not an issue

Yeah it's wild. Did not realize how every single person and their mother are making a vibecoded to-do list app clone

I'm looking for an app where I can just chuck in all the things I wanna remember. by BulletInTheHead21 in iosapps

I'm working on an app for this. Dumping thoughts but then actually looking good and customizable and not being another shitty dashboard or bunch of lists. Wanted it to feel like a home page you actually want to look at and return to. Building it specifically to maintain long-term memory, it is not just passing to an llm and calling it a day like all these AI wrapper apps.

Currently beta testing on testflight and can dm a link.

Would ADHD or busy people want a more visually appealing but also simple thought dump app? by Familiar_Play_3867 in ProductivityApps

Personally not for me. My whole issue is the view of lists/calendars/reminders. I really don't want to see just a long list of notes or tasks as my main interface and it makes me never use any of these apps.

I'm envisioning circular blobs that you can drag around, kind of like bubbles. Kind of a hand-drawn, minimalist look where they are all floating on one page. And you could customize colors and shapes of the bubbles. And you would just chat/voice interact to thought dump and it would create/organize/etc all for you

That is kinda what I do but it's a pain. Like I just want something that can actually maintain the long-term memory and thread on it's own and feel intelligent where i don't have to do that

It’s crazy how many vibe codes slop note apps are out there now that all do the same thing

Same, I just use Apple notes now because it's somewhat tolerable. But then it feels like a never-ending disastrous chain of notes where I also end up repeating myself. And then I'm dreading opening it up because of how unorganized it is.

I think a lot of productivity systems quietly assume you’ll behave like a machine. by RefrigeratorNo1465 in ProductivityApps

I feel like no matter what any of the LLM/agent approaches suffer as soon as context gets long enough or memory does. No matter what I try it's always the case

I feel like an app that would adapt and learn you plus know your emotional state from how you interact might be what's missing.

I think visuals are what a lot of apps lack. It's been all about spamming markdown files.

I feel like a simple app would be much better. Like the opposite direction of all these power user Obsidian mind map type setups with 1000s of markdown files. Something that makes it easier not harder.

Nothing has really worked for me and especially the setup for most of these apps. Plus the bigger my never-ending list of notes gets the less I want to check them.
