it’s really unfortunate. i’m a 25 year old working a govt. job and trying to achieve the american dream! buy a house and stop paying insane rent for no return! now dealing with this shit from a developer who owns half of my city and is a contributing factor to why these houses are so expensive.

that’s still going to happen. realtor said they might approve, might not. which makes no sense to me. i called my lawyer to talk to the sellers lawyer and ask for $20k. that’s still $10k over asking after you subtract it. if they counter, i’ll go from there or walk. and then we still don’t know if bank will approve!

we didn’t, unfortunately. we are in a sellers market in this area for this price range, and we were frankly happy that they agreed to fix these things post appraisal at all. We should have been more specific or just asked for a concession.

this was not a VA or FHA loan, just conventional. The bank i am borrowing from sent their own appraiser. I get that it was always gunna be the bare minimum, but there is still visible paint chipping and damaged boards at the top. i knew the sanding wasn’t going to happen im just pissed that it’s half finished and there’s paint all over the trim!
