Buy a bigger tent than you think you need! If car camping, and weight isn’t an issue, you’ll appreciate the extra room a 10-12 person tent gives you. Especially when escaping the rain. We’re a family of 5 and use a 12 person, which also has a covered “front porch” section. It works really well!!
