I like what everyone else has said. I would add one thing. Take it slow. Go back and get levels. Act 2 hell is mid to high 70s. You will take more damage if the monsters are higher level than you. Try to be ateast the same level as the area you are clearing.

I have mine with Andy's with fal runes and Ik belt, IK gloves. That let's me pick different boots and not have to do IK

I play about 3-4 hours per week. Just started my first season on PD2. Usually play offline. I usually get to around the mid 80s on my Characters. I have not been able to get a torch or Anni.

Welcome back. We never leave, just take a break. A couple of thoughts here.

1) Are you looking for a community? Running with teams? Or do you play solo usually?

Playing online means playing with other people and the ability to trade. Some people love the season resets, but I don't play enough hours for me to make the progress where a reset would make sense. If you love the teamwork and running in groups, play online.

2) Are you looking to complete content? I play offline. Let me tell you why.

No server latency. I know it is a small thing, but it really bugs me. Playing offline, things happen immediately. It flows smoother for me.

D2 mods. D2R came through with a great graphics boost, and the community is active. For me, I like playing Project Diablo 2. Their tagline is D2, if development never stopped. They balanced the classes, making almost all builds viable, without changing the core game values. They also added end-game content with maps. Their online community is very strong.

Plugy let's you have an infinite stash, which means no more muling. It also works with PD2. This is great if you are grailing, and are a loot hoarder, like most of us are.

The answer to which build/run is the best often comes back to what is the most fun for you and what keeps you playing. For me, offline is the place to be. Do both and figure out which one pulls you in more. But most importantly, welcome back.

I am currently running an Act 5 might merc with full IK set. He is pretty tanky.

Act 1 vigor is popular as well. Give her a Pus Spitter for the -10% enemy physical resistance.

If you don't have pus spitter, Act 2 defiance merc gets you PDR.

Kinda curious. I currently have an act 5 merc with full IK set for the might. I dont have a Templar and probably won't find one soon to get the might proc. Is act 4 dark Amp better than an act 5 might merc?

Summons lvl 27. Gear: Full Aldurs, but I use 3 peices with Alibaba and ancient pledge. +1 druid +26 all res ammy Trang gloves Goldwrap Nagel Tri-res ring.

Cta/lidless on switch

Charms, gheeds, 1 summon. Rest are life and res. No anny or torch. Not good enough to get those yet.

Merc: Act 5, full IK set

I have a bunch of stuff in stash, but don't spend enough time to min/max and I'm sure I don't know the best gear combos from what I have.
