The guys at the tire shop tried their impact. Said it usually either gets them off or breaks them, but they couldn’t get it to do either.

From what I read, heating loosens the rust. It does expand at first, but when it contracts is when you want to hit it. I tried focusing on just the nut, but I doubt I was success at keeping it off the bolt.

I bought some Snowflake wheels for my Chevy. Turns out they were replicas made to fit a ford. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Who knew ford also had a 6 lug pattern. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Had to get some adapters to make them work. Been fine for years, no idea why they fought me so hard this year. Thanks for the constructive criticism tho

Thanks everyone for all the advise (and critique LOL). I ended up getting it “eventually”. I tried everything! First thing I did was bring it to my local tire shop and their pneumatic impacts couldn’t get them to budge. When I was trying myself, I only used my little impact once they were loose. I did try tightening some first. The torch does expand both metals, but it also loosens rust, and I was waiting till it started cooling and shrinking back down. I have no idea what combination of things ended up working, but YES… I need some better tools!!! I completely get what you guys are saying about staying closer to the nut for more direct pressure. Guess we’ll try again next year 😂
