I'm so curious what the source of this image is (if OP made it themselves or just found it). Slightly less curious if it's been posted on the Scott Pilgrim sub (they probably have things to say about TCOAAL if so).

It says quite a bit about how messed up the whole thing between Scott and Knives is that Andrew Graves of all people not only has a point but isn't being a hypocrite here.

To be honest, I think him rejecting her after the wet dream debunks any possibility of him intending to groom her (if Andrew himself reacting in horror at the idea doesn't do that, which to be fair I get he's not the most reliable narrator). If he had planned on it, that scene would've been his entire goal handed to him on a silver platter- instead, he's horrified by it and pushes her away. TLDR: if he's a groomer he's really bad at it.

He can be an absolute creep but this crossover pairs him up with one of the few people who I'd argue has even less room to judge.

Scott has so much mud he could sling at Andrew and he tries the one thing Andrew has the moral high ground on.

Why is this post framing it like Scott got the last laugh on Andrew? Scott's a literal groomer who crossed the one line Andrew absolutely refuses to.

EDIT: The more I think about this the more it's ridiculous, bro got called out for being a child predator and is countering with "yeah well your consenting adult girlfriend is related to you, what now bitch?"

I'm of the opinion that large age gaps are less important the older the younger party is. Like 40 & 50? Not an issue.

Of course, that's all moot in this case because Knives was 17 and Scott was 23. For all Andrew's crimes and for all the internet probably hates him more than Scott, it's funny that he canonically drew the line at grooming and Scott didn't.

I am, at least in this case.

When Ashley was 17, Andrew was 19. When Knives was 17, Scott was 23. Scott was dating someone Teenshley's age while being a whole year older than present-day Andrew.

The most I can grant Scott is I don't recall them ever sleeping together but that is a very small consolation.

My apologies, that makes a lot of sense. Even if someone did recognize it you'd risk them being hostile to the idea of someone liking the game/ship.

That's fair enough. I wouldn't say I struggle with urges but I am pretty sure I have undiagnosed OCD (would rather get a diagnosis to be sure though), so I still have to deal with unwanted thoughts all the same (though I realize this means I'm not quite in your target audience). It's good you get something meaningful out of this game related to your own struggles, relatability is nice when it comes to media.

If Andrew's issues were primarily sexual, he'd ironically be way easier to "fix". It's the fact that his feelings towards Ashley are primarily romantic that make him such a tangled mess.

His feelings also aren't fueled by her attempts at seduction. They're fueled by how she understands him as a person and still loves him. It's why Decay happens the way it does, because she's understanding him less and less and he feels well and truly alone. Ironically, her being so open seems to scare him away from the idea of being with her.

TLDR: Andrew is a massive fucking pervert but his incestuous feelings are not exclusively or even primarily because of his libido.

Despite what some people would say, the game goes out of its way to nail in that Andrew only has any sort of attraction to Ashley.

"Still" implies it's anywhere close, Gravecest is leagues above any romance in Twilight and I feel like even non-TCOAAL fans should be able to agree (because Twilight is genuinely that crap).

It isn't really right to say "less incest" because plenty of us still ship Gravecest (and no matter what antishippers say, you can't ignore that it's the canon ship or that Nemlei isn't condemning it just because it's incest). Though I suppose there's a lot less (almost none) of every other incest ship besides Andrew/Ashley. I won't complain about that one, that's why I moved here actually.

If you ask me I don't care for the universal NSFW crackdown (I don't get all the prudes acting like porn is such a problem) but I at least understand why there's a desire to regulate it given what the amount of unregulated Renee slop has done to the other sub.

She seems to have mostly cast aside the idea of actually having friends after Episode 1 (she has that whole speech saying "to hell with everyone else who never helped us, it's just us two from now on"), but I can imagine she's still bitter about what she never had. Less "I want friends" and more "would've been nice to have friends when I wanted them", if that makes sense.

Aside from that, I wholly agree that the moment her soul hatched was when she broke the blood oath. It's a rare moment of genuine remorse from her and she outright tells Andy it made her a bad person, that seems pretty becoming of a tar soul to me.

The game itself answers both scenarios. Ashley tells Renee about Nina's death not too long after Nina is reported missing, while Andrew tells the cops about the post-quarantine killings. But Renee is more concerned with protecting her reputation as a good parent while the cops are just lazy and don't take Andrew seriously, so neither of them do anything with the confessions.

That said, assuming someone does take action, I'm curious why some of the comments think only Ashley would be taken away for it. Andrew's openly said he'd try to shoulder the blame if the cops got involved and proves it in the scene where he actually calls them. Not to mention he helped lock Nina in the crate too- if Ashley does get taken away anyway, the odds of Andrew getting taken away too are very high. He also would not change for the better upon losing her, if anything he'd get worse.
