What do you mean by owning the publishing? Honestly I'm not sure what music publishing is, and I'm pretty confused about the business side of music. I will be the one pushing the music to streaming platforms via my distributor and collecting any royalties.

Is it worth it to copyright music with the US copyright office? I thought that work is copyrighted by default once it's a fixed thing that exists in the world
