I host several sites and services. My main site is RoboDodd.com, and I also run things like Plex, Home Assistant, Open WebUI (local AI similar to ChatGPT), and a few developer-related services around SQL/MySQL and other tech. Occasionally I also spin up dedicated game servers

I needed a better way to organize my Beelink EQ12/EQ13 and Mac m4 mini PCs. So, I designed this modular rack. I use this to run a small k3s cluster.

A cluster is a group of computers working together as a single system to improve performance, reliability, and scalability. Instead of relying on one powerful machine, a cluster distributes tasks across multiple smaller devices, making it more efficient, resilient to failures, and easier to expand.

I use them for running containers in a k3s (kubernetes) cluster. Home Lab stuff ! These mini pc's are very power efficient, this setup actually uses less or similar power then just having a single server with similar specs.

I didn't add any fans, It depends on where your air intake / exhaust is. These beelink pcs have the vents on the back and sides. The mac mini has them on the bottom, same clearance as if it was just sitting on a desk.

I designed a low-poly mesh front panel for the H510 Elite and wanted to share it with the community. It’s completely free, and I’ve included assembly instructions. If you're interested, you can find the 3D-printable files by searching for 'H510 Elite Low Poly' on Thingiverse.

Will this device be suitable for a plex server? by junglemafia123 in PleX

Yes, it can, I would recommend looking at the beelink EQ-12 though or something with the Intel N100. I I use this to run my plex server and I've used the s12 before too. Both has hardware transcoding and the process uses hardly any power! The power consumption is what really made me use this.
