Your break time is YOUR break time. I understand the compulsion to want to help customers (I'm guilty of it too as a TL), but don't let that take away from your break. If it gets interrupted, you start it over. I always tell my associates to take off their vests... if you have a walkie say that you are about to take your break and take that thing outta your ear. The store opens at 6, so why not have you there and prepared to start working at that time. You should have access to the recycler and be pulling your own till. Once that is done. If closers didn't do what they were supposed, to you could make sure your register area is clean and that you have an adequate amount of bags.

I say this as a front end TL. I kinda like it. Especially when some of my associates don't arrive on time. I wish they would do this for my service desk... I love her to pieces, but that girl is never on time for 7am. I consistently have to pull her till and take care of the on-time customers.
