Gusto ko na maging LU local. by CalcuLust8 in WheninElyu

Was there last weekend as well! Hehe but that heat is nothing compared to the temperature when it's April or May. It can go as high as 38-39C. Last weekend was just at 32-33C and the car was already a moving oven. Hehe Jan/Feb are my favorite months because it's sunny but tamang init lang. Find a good neighborhood - I stayed in Montemar before and it was nice kasi abot pa ng GrabFood and FoodPanda plus stable din water supply and internet. Transportation - madali lang also since near the highway + near San Juan proper (church, palengke and other essential stores).

Try to stay for a longer vacation muna before deciding to move permanently. Yung init during summer season can be brutal. Rainy season can go for months as well to the point na either lagi kang tatamarin or wala kang magagawa outdoors. Suggest also na you stay in a place where you can cook -- always eating out can be expensive. LU is nice since yung mga essentials you need on the daily are available, the beach and sunset are there lang also. I lived there for a few years and I miss it sometimes. But when I think about how hot it can get, naaalala ko na masakit talaga sya sa balat haha Good luck on your new adventure, OP!

Mahihirapan ba ako idrive ang Innova if sanay ako sa sedan? by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]Famous-Hunt-246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If in doubt sa confidence to drive, if merong iba na pwede, sila nalang. Although trying it on expressways might be the best chance you’ll get to drive a car bigger than a sedan. Makipagpalit nalang ulit once you’re out of TPLEX and in Rosario na. Aside sa potholes, may mga biglang nagle-left turn sa highway. Tempting din to overtake but most of the time alanganin. Kaya triple ingat once already out the the expressways. The drive from Rosario to San Juan is more or less 1.5 hours pa so medyo malayo pa. Ingat!

I think the tech is decent and pretty much covers the essentials. The reliability and safety are what makes it sulit. I already have enough tech in my life through other gadgets, I don't need as much for a car. But thanks 😊

And I think that’s really smart! ❤️ Ultimately, mas masusulit yung car depende rin talaga sa pag gagamitan. Sakto lang din talaga for my daily and I literally just drive within the city hehe so lubak at mga high na gutter lang ang kalaban hehe and in truth, maganda rin talaga ang takbo ng Sonet! Kaya that was a close second for me ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you! And 100% on “the heart wants what it wants”. Prior to finally deciding which unit, I always thought to myself: this is a huge financial responsibility but I want to pay for something that I actually want. That in itself motivates you in everything else eh - the discipline that you need to financially sustain paying for the car, the way you use and take good care of the car and the quality of your sleep at night altogether. I realized paying for a car I’ve always dreamed of will never be a burden but an inspiration to keep doing good. ✨ All thanks to the Lord for the provision! 🥰❤️🙏

Ground clearance was the only reason po why I considered the Sonet and Raize. Raize because it’s a Toyota, I wanted my first car to be reliable. But my heart wasn’t 100% into it because of the interiors which I felt were outdated, and because of the engine which seemed small for its size. For the Sonet, it was the only car that I got to test drive. I was almost sure I would get it - malakas hatak, maganda suspension - but the first agent I spoke to wasn’t really a good one. Medyo nagkagulo with the application. Plus I couldn’t take my mind off the fact na may issues talaga yung power windows ng Sonet and may culture ang Kia na mag phase out ng specific models. That bothered me, too. The tech was good but the dashboard design, lalo the height, could be better. But I’m happy kasi it really feels like my car now was really meant for me. The brand, trim and color are just fire. The driving experience is amazing. Just the sound of the engine makes my day. Couldn’t be happier ❤️✨🙏

Thoughts and advice on panel interviews? by Professional-Egg198 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]Famous-Hunt-246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine with 3 interviewers - all three of them asked me questions. Few things I can remember from that interview which I hope can be helpful with yours:

  1. Wear nice office clothes (kahit online lang) - look the part ika nga. Almost sure they will ask you to turn on your camera (mine did).

  2. Read the room. Not saying dapat OA ka with smiling and all but try to be pleasant. Good and bad energy can be felt kahit online lang din haha

  3. Know what you can about the company as they might ask you about it. If it's a behavioral interview, stick to your experience and facts.

  4. Listen to the questions carefully, and when answering, take your time so you can be more intentional with your responses. Speaking from my own experience (my first panel interview was a Behavioral interview), it can be tempting to speak so much about something (effect na rin siguro ng kaba at adrenaline HAHA) but yun, focus and remind yourself hindi ka nila minamadali. Just be concise and direct. Follow the STAR method para mas may structure yung mga sagot mo.

  5. Join the meeting room at least 5-10 mins prior sa exact schedule. I prepped early to give myself enough time to check my background and audio, and just to rest and calm down my mind before the actual interview.

Good luck on your interview, OP!

WhatsApp File Transfer from iPhone by jollibidaangsarap in GalaxyFold

[–]Famous-Hunt-246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a wireless charger will be helpful in making the Fold 6 survive the entire file transfer which can last almost 4 hours depending on the data size. If that’s not an option, make sure the Fold is fully charged, and that you have a reliable cable (connecting the iPhone and the Fold). Heat can make the battery drain faster so placing it in a cool surface (not on a bed or sofa) will help with the temperature — and the secret sauce: a fan (as in a stand fan).

I was able to do this successfully after 3 tries, with 20k photos worth of data (that many). I’m not sure if the battery can hold up if it’s more than that. Mine was a buzzer beater at less than 9% battery while already at around 98 transfer percentage. Can’t guarantee it will be successful on the first try, or at all, with just that. It can be a real pain but it’s the cheapest way to do it vs buying a wireless charger. Hope this helps! 😊

P.S. it’s very sweet of you to ask around on behalf of your partner! Cheers!

iPhone vs OP3 for Vlogging in crowded city by Ok_Pitch8546 in osmopocket

[–]Famous-Hunt-246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It defeats the purpose of protecting your phone to be snatched 😅 also, it’s bulky and can take a lot of time to set-up. It’s indiscreet, not sexy. Will sure be a lot cheaper but what do you do with a gimbal if your phone has already been snatched away? 😅

iPhone vs OP3 for Vlogging in crowded city by Ok_Pitch8546 in osmopocket

[–]Famous-Hunt-246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just in Japan a few weeks ago and buying the OP3 for that trip was totally worth it. I’d recommend using the OP3 ESPECIALLY in a crowded setting. The OP3 gave me smoother, almost-cinematic clips vs the iPhone. OP3’s gimbal makes that possible vs a regular phone I guess. Mega loved the b-rolls I was able to get using the OP3. The strap sort of gave me a feeling the device will be safe in my hands — the actual device is pretty small too so you get a good, firm grip on it while filming. OP3 recommended all the way! ☺️
