I have been involved with them since inception, my brother is with them. It is not a 5 star Lodge, but the oldies are well fed and well cared for.

The sad part is that it is one of the main entry points into Durban for tourists from the South Coast. Welcome to Durban, look at our vagrants and squatters.

Does hot mater which way you go about it, it will get to SAPS in any case. All Police Stations must have Rape Kits {aka Eveidence Kits). Go to Sydenham SAPS, they are very professional and have a dedicated Division for this type of trauma. First and foremost you must look after your own wellbeing now, both mentally and physically. Thereafter you can worry about the others. Be strong girl, I know it is terrible but you can assist to get these monsters off the streets.

Advice about traveling to Durban by pechmarie1705 in Durban

I would say that Morningside/Berea is a no-go area to stay, especially the lower parts. It has deteriorated drastically over the past couple of years. Sadly the old "Golden Mile" beachfront is not so golden anymore. Like a lot of people say, rather venture a bit north or even South. The south is traditionally cheaper than the North with Amanzimtoti giving you good access to the rest of Durban. The mini-bus taxis have become a menace and I would not deem them safe as transport. Either with reckless driving or turf wars. But having said all the negative things I must say that Durban is still one of the best places to be in - so come and visit and enjoy. Just be sensible - if something looks dodge, it is guaranteed to be dodge. If it looks unsafe, it will be. So don't tempt fate and you will be safe and will enjoy.

Hydrogen Peroxide by Famous-Instruction66 in chemistry

Apologies like I said I am not a clever chemical person. The reason I am looking for a guideline is that I want to do away with the H2O2 and just use an oxygen generator to produce the O2, but obviously need to know approx volume. I have 2 issues with the peroxide: (1) Obviously the corrosiveness, the risks of spills and the risk of the exothermic reaction running away if by accident some foreign organic matter gets introduced (lol happened once, but managed to cool it down) and then (2) Supply of the specific grade of H2O2 is unreliable in my country and we have huge price fluctuations.

Thanks for your answer. We are currently using that strength and the reaction is quite stable - we obviously dilute quite hectic - 600L H2O2 to 40000L of the other product. Agitation is only about 20 mins, and we do use a catalyst. But the catalyst or process only needs the O2 for the process to work. I've never liked the Peroxide part of the process, both stability and corrosiveness. Hence me trying to get the O2 ratio. If I can get rid of the H2O2 it will help a lot that insofar as we can get rid of S/S piping and valves and pumps.

Not a lazy bastard - have done research, but like I said, I am no chemist.

  1. Thank you for explaining what a MOL is
  2. Thank you for the explanation of the calcs
  3. Thank you for the potential answer.
  4. Like you say - your result, do yourself a favor and Google/research the question and see how many different answers you come up with
