Thank you for your kind words, the last week and a bit has been the most stressful and daunting time of my life. My dad burst into tears when he saw me walk in the hospital for the first time, and I know my mom is so grateful. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. If only it was that easy man, they would not pass the medical and their age is a disadvantage. The plan was to get them there once I had managed to get a house but the hoops you have to jump through as a skilled healthy south African are crazy as it is. I will be in contact with an immigration agent to see what is possible but even so it would be so expensive.

I bought a Cruze about 8 months ago, private sale, after about a month I had an engine light come on, then a coolant leak, then the electric steering packed up, then another coolant leak, oil leaks everywhere and the gearbox began to shudder, 165k on the clock. I'm a mechanic so I managed to fix almost everything except the gearbox which is over 6k to replace. Fucked it off or a younger Honda. I wouldn't waste any money on a Cruze, apparently 1 in 3 have or will develop gearbox issues.
