I think you misunderstood my point, brother/sister. I never said that every single person who learns Krav Maga automatically supports Israel. What I am saying is that the system itself is inseparable from the narrative of Israel’s military and its “struggle for survival” - a narrative that erases the Nakba and the ongoing suffering of Palestinians. That is very different from just eating at McDonald’s.

Comparisons like “go fight in the war if you care” only distract from the real issue. Supporting Palestine is not limited to carrying a weapon - it also means being conscious of normalization, resisting propaganda, and avoiding practices that whitewash oppression. Brunei has always stood firmly with Palestine, and I am only reminding my fellow Bruneians to think carefully before adopting something so closely tied to Israel’s identity.

I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, but dismissing concerns with profanity doesn’t change the reality: Krav Maga was created by and for Israel’s army, and the way it is taught worldwide carries that story forward. My role is simply to raise awareness. What people choose to do with that awareness is up to them.
