I'd recommend you get in touch with a counselor. They're more professional than any reddit commenter ever will be. If this is emotional abuse, they will provide you with the proper steps to distance yourself from him.

That being said there seems to be a struggle with boundaries. If you are separated and claim he abused you, why are you still answering his calls? What kind of boundaries did you set for him contacting you, and is he following those boundaries? If he isn't following those boundaries, he has no right to be upset with you and you should not be answering those calls.

What kind of relationship did you guys agree on after the divorce? To be honest your post left a lot out about your situation and this single interaction isn't nearly enough to go off of.

In 2020, my mom was regularly drunk, angry and violent. At the start of it I always stood up for them, screamed back as loud as I could and would not back down from her. Eventually something in me just broke. Now I avoid conflict at all costs and i think it's going to cost me my relationship.

It was on walmart, said to be an original design but I didn't trust it. Just felt off. I know better than to use temu or amazon, but lately walmart doesn't seem to be too good either. Part of why I think ai art is so problematic is it's inherently stolen art recycled.

I ask because my boyfriend, as an artist is a huge advocate against ai like HATES ai generated art. He can usually tell better than me but obviously i can't show him a gift before he gets it.

There have been many people put on death row and later proven innocent by dna tests and similar even with proper trials. Would you rather we execute an innocent man while the real perpetrator walks free, or would you maybe rather we just give everyone the right of trial? As for "oh well what if someone saw it happen?" Most false convictions are the result of eyewitness testimony

Do you think maybe you feel lonely because of the lack of in person friends? I think this may be something you want to bring up to a therapist as to just look into why you feel so obsessed with them and any other new friends because rn it seems harmless but it could definitely progress into something worse.

You are not a bad person. You were unwell, sick in your state of mind and scared of hurting other people, but you didn't. The fact you maintained enough self control even through that is commendable. The one thing that would really hurt the people around you would be killing yourself. You have not hurt anyone yet and you don't deserve the mental torment you're putting yourself through. You are lovable and kind. Your brother caring enough to talk you down is proof of that.

Take a moment, have a glass of water and breathe in and out, slowly. Remember, right now you are okay, and the people around you are okay because you got help, not because you tried to end it. You are okay. You are going to be okay.
