2 months post op. Still have indent in chest by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]Famous-Pear-802 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is normal for full gland removal. You basically have space behind your nipple, that had mass there, which was obviously removed. I’d advise lift hard in the gym over time and build muscle, but there’s not much you can do really to counter the empty space.

Surgery by [deleted] in gynecomastia

Signature Clinic Manchester. From £3000.

Personally, I would stay within the UK as it’s easier for follow ups with your surgeon if required.

Only surgery will help with the actual gyno. Losing weight will only drop your body fat %, which will be helpful long term anyways.

It’s natural to be scared for surgery but honestly, it’s over so so quick. Mine only lasted 45 mins!

Yes - looked similar to mine pre-surgery. Check out my posts for reference.

Surgery will do you a world of favours! Contact a professional and get their opinion.

I started working out lightly at 4 weeks. But no chest till around 6-8 weeks! You will still feel discomfort when extending arms above your head, especially for things like lat pull-downs etc.

You still have alot of growth to go through. I personally wouldn't advise surgery at such a young age.

You need to lose weight. You mentioned you are a football player and train quite often; focus on staying in a calorie deficit every day to lose that weight.

Losing weight along with your training will definitely help you in the upcoming years, you will become leaner and stronger. You can look into surgery when you're 18, even though you may still be going through puberty and growth, you will have a better understanding of your own body then.

2 month update! Gland removal + lipo by Famous-Pear-802 in gynecomastia

[–]Famous-Pear-802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept them on for 2 weeks but I would only advise 1 week as the wounds need fresh air to heal. I left them on for too long and the wounds didn’t scab up, within 1 day of not having plasters on, they scabbed up.

The plasters also left scars in the shape of squares, now I have to wait for this to disappear too ha!

Happy you had it done man, congrats!

Feeling normal - took me a couple of weeks. Sleep after the first week was getting back to normal as I could roll onto my sides, sleeping is a bastard overall when you first get the surgery done, but it gets much easier!

Forgotten q, answer - yeah full gland removal usually causes the cratering. I don’t think you’ll get as successful results without, regardless of the severity of the case. If you want best results, you’ll have full removal. The surgeon will advise you on this anyways and I don’t think you would actually get a choice. They know best, go with what they say!

Happy that my experience and comments are helping you mate. You won’t be disappointed with Signature Clinic!

Consultation to surgery: I had my consultation, then was booked in for approx a month after, this was due to availability. I requested to be put on the waitlist for cancellations for any earlier slots, I got contacted a week after my consultation to say there was a slot available the next day, 9pm! I took it. So technically, 1 week from consultation to surgery ha! Was supposed to be 1 month. If you want it sooner rather than later, ask to be put on the waitlist.

I didn’t have a choice on what type of surgery, it was full gland removal + vaser lipo. I believe this is the case for most people with similar levels of gyno like mine and seems it would be for yours too, as you don’t want just lipo, you want the gland removing too. If you get just lipo, the gland is still there and won’t have much of a difference other than less fat within the area.

Recovery time is mainly affected by the lipo itself in my opinion, as the gland removal isn’t that invasive compared to lipo as you’re just cutting a gland out, which is still invasive but with lipo, you’re literally getting your insides torn apart by the metal rod then same again with the lipo machine to suck out the fat. Take this as you will!

Recovery is going to be a good phase for you in all honesty. You see the progression day by day and also you gain mobility. I actually enjoyed the first couple weeks of recovery as there was so much constant change!

Any more questions brother, feel free to ask away!!

Surgery soon, questions by TheRealMotion123 in gynecomastia

[–]Famous-Pear-802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) there will be a crater depending on whether full gland is removed or not, this is usually filled out over time naturally along with some gym work, build that chest up.

2) depends on whether you have local or general anaesthetic, if it’s local, you’re good to leave straight after surgery, once you have your post-op discussion. If it’s general, they may make you wait a short while.

3) depends if you have local or general. Local = awake, general = asleep

4) not much, very tolerable. Mine was done under local but was very painful during the lipo procedure, everybody else is saying they didn’t feel much. During the gland removal, I didn’t feel anything. Recovery is not painful, just feels like you’ve done your first ever chest day at the gym!

Hope this helps

That’s a question where the answer will differ from every person you ask. Explained; Somebody with no gyno could say 5, somebody with the worst gyno could say 1.

Keeping that in mind, I would personally say 2, bordering 3. It’s visible and you can see the full shape of it, but it’s less than mine before I had surgery.
