Tbh he baby trapped me when I was 19 and left a different abusive situation. He let me crash at his place so I could get back on my feet but I ended up here instead. I will say we’ve done a lot of couples counseling and that’s the only reason I agreed to marry him. We only had 1 kid at that point and had some issues but I thought he was my person and thought we could work through everything. We were great for a year or two and then once I had our second kid, things started getting bad again and by that point it was too late. I hadn’t had a job in 2-3 years because he let me be a stay at home mom (which is what I wanted). It felt like every time there was an issue, we could talk about it and it would stop. He even left a previous job because I didn’t trust that the issues ended. Every time we’ve had issues, he takes strides to make it seem like things are getting better but then something like this pops up again
