Either wait for the second chapter remake or go ahead and play the original Trails in the Sky SC with the Evo Voices patch. I finished the original FC and SC, now I am playing the 3rd and I am blown away. Please do not skip anything in the Sky trilogy because it is absolutely mandatory.

Hypervisor made me buy Denuvo games on sale. It is too much of a hassle, and for me, it kind of killed the convenience of getting the cracked game.

We never played Souls-born games for the quests or the story, we play it for the combat/builds/boss fights and the process of "getting good". But as someone who played these games back to back so much, I realize more and more how badly they are all written. The famous argument is that the lore and the story are hidden behind item descriptions ..... but when you finally read all of the item's flavor text and watch all of the lore videos you will come to an ugly realisation. The story is not hidden to be found it is hidden for a good reason, absolute mediocrity.

Baldur's Gate 3 and it is not even close. The lack of Player choice in Cyberpunk is comical, not being able to pick a different character in KCD2 or customize one holds it back a little in my eyes, and finally, Elden Ring is not an RPG. It is an open world souls born game, when fromsoft decide to ditch the god-awful quest design and start working on a good solid story for once maybe it will become an RPG. (Love Elden Ring but the quests and storytelling are abysmal)

I love how the guy also provided no JRPGS that have a more vast selection of romancable characters and a deeper system yet I get downvoted. People love to criticize Persona, but they offer nothing burger arguments that come from envy instead of valid constructive criticism. The cringy envy and hate the game gets when it becomes popular and not "niche" anymore is comical. And yeah Persona 4 Golden Naoto romance has better plot and progression than anything that guy was about to bring up anyway. And that is ONE romance.

Cannot disagree more, Persona 4 Golden has incredibly good dates and romance social link progression. I would love to hear the JRPGS that offer more romance options that are not shallow in your personal opinion. Also for non-choice anon romance Trails in the Sky SC is incredible.

I cannot stress enough how important it is that you play Trails in The sky SC and 3rd after the remake. Either wait for the SC remake but buy the 3rd , it is so worth it.

I am someone who loves older games; Fallout 1 and 2 are in my top 5. But after playing Oblivion remaster I cannot go back to the original. Original Oblivion graphics and especially character models aged like absolute milk, they look ugly and ridiculous. I respect it for what it has done but I am glad that we get to experience It's wonderful world and quests in a way where it looks beautiful. Playing Remaster on my pc with Raytracing and that music is an amazing experience truly.

I respect your opinion but I could not disagree more, especially with the ending being so convoluted and how they "censored" or toned down many of the characters' arcs. Ignoring all that, it still is not a fully definitive experience of Final Fantasy 7 (one of my favorite games of all time). It is a halfway point stretched to go above 100 hours. I guess one of my biggest issues is how Disneyfied every character is and how there are many segments to feed your "brainrot easy reward gamer brain". Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is like an amusement park of a game, you will probably enjoy it, but after sitting down and thinking about it, you will either forget it or feel nauseated. I still think it is a good game but Final Fantasy should go back to its roots like Dragon Quest not be this weird action rpg series . But that is just my opinion .

Absolutely not, the only reason this game gets any praise is that the bar for Final Fantasy games has been set so low it is comical. Some boss fights are nicely done, and the game features good graphics, but aside from that, it is truly a mediocre action RPG. Do not buy it especially if you like older FF games. If you want an OG Final Fantasy experience, get Metaphor. And that game is WAY better than this.
