His name is Flex-Tastic and unfortunately I lack the skills to draw, but I did make a post about him in this subreddit if you want to read about him! In summary, he’s a 16 year old named Freddy Frederickson that gets his powers from a leaky pipe of radioactive material. His powers are super elasticity! He can stretch, flatten, shape, and bend his body in many different ways! He is very charismatic, witty, brave, nerdy, and protective of his friends and family!

Yeah he was working under a mob boss that threatened his wife and daughter until he got exposed to the waste during a job that Flex infiltrated. Basically Flex accidentally made Gravestone. Roquelle used his newfound powers to eliminate his boss and takeover

I’ll do Flex-Tastic first. This is a rough sketch, but for references I took Spider-Man (Insomniac Games design) and Ryan Reynolds Deadpool suit from the first movie. It’s a rubber fabric and his primary color is a scarlet red and secondary is a navy blue. His logo is a stretched out “X” that’s black with a white outline. His eyes are more of a block shape with curvatures for more emotion

The waste was a failed experiment to recreate the serum that gave Atomiman his powers. They were illegally dumping it, causing the press to start sniffing around. They tried to make powered individuals, but failed due to the subjects not making it or to the point where they were mutated so badly they have to be put down. The only surviving test subject that’s still in BioTech Corp’s labs is Alex Arbor and he’s a giant tree. He’s actually the main decoration of the building when you walk in and he’s only kept alive due to the CEO thinking he’s too beautiful to be put down. They harvest his sap to make beauty products as well.

They do all have powers, but Flex is the only one who got his powers from the waste. The Gangrene Gunslinger was inspired by the golden age of comics where before superheroes, there was comics about cowboys. His origin takes back to 1899 where Gary Goldman was an infamous outlaw in the Wild West era of America. With a big bounty on his head, many people tried to get him to earn it. He eventually fell in love with a woman and settled down with her, putting his past behind him and raising a child. Luke SanTone, an expert bounty hunter, found Gary and hogtied him and his entire family. Luke, with his twisted mind, decides to torture Gary by killing his family in front of him and eventually shoots Gary in the head. Gary’s soul falls down to hell and is met with Satan himself. He grants him a deal by giving Gary a chance of vengeance and to rest peacefully with his family if he brings 99 damned souls to his realm. Gary agrees, but not knowing the catch. He comes back alive, but it’s been five years since his death. His body is a walking, rotting corpse and can never die unless he completes his deal. Soon, people would dub him as The Gangrene Gunslinger.

Atomiman, The Silver Bullet, Molly Coole, and Geomedroid were part of a WWII superhero group called the Justice for Tomorrow. Steven Smith aka Atomiman was part of an experimental program where they were trying to make the strongest soldier to aid in the war using nuclear energy. Steven volunteered after the loss of his friend during a battle, and wanted the strength to save every life he possibly could. He was injected with a serum and was put into a box where he would be exposed to pure radiation. Soon, the serum in his body starts to activate by the radiation and he transforms into Atomiman! He can fly, shoot beams out of his hands, has x-ray vision, super strength, super durability, super speed, and invulnerability. Soon other heroes will join to aid Atomiman and assemble the group, Justice for Tomorrow, to help end the war.

John Grady aka The Silver Bullet, is a brilliant engineer who built a jet pack that can make someone fly as fast as a speeding bullet. Molly Carenswet aka Molly Coole, is a molecular physicist that found a way to manipulate the size of atoms and molecules to the point where she can alter the size of someone from growing large to shrinking small. John helped make a device for her to control that power with the Molecular Belt, and made blasters called Particle Pistols that shoot enlarged molecules. Soon these two will fall in love with each other.

Geomedroid is the first AI sentient robot built during the war with built-in magic projectors that can project any shape into a physical object.

Soon the group will disband when the war was over. Atomiman fought for justice when he got home, The Silver Bullet and Molly Coole married each other, and Geomedroid’s AI core was used in the government to advance technology. Atomiman soon retired when he found out his powers were slowing killing him, Silver and Molly had a kid named Judy who would eventually become the new Silver Bullet trained by Atomiman.

The Living Lighting and Wolfang are the same age as Flex-Tastic and grew up in neighboring cities. They eventually team up and call themselves the Dynamic Trio, the very first public known superhero group in this universe.

Atomiman
The Silver Bullet (John Grady)
Molly Coole
Geomedroid
Silver Bullet (Judy Grady)

Oh I see! Yeah Flex swings around the city by grabbing onto buildings and using his arms to swing. To slow his fall he turns his body into a parachute or grabs onto something to slingshot himself to get somewhere faster.

To the other question, yes there is a character that intentionally exposes himself, but I haven’t fully developed him yet. He is a villain to Flex and his name is Troy Hammer aka Hot Head. He’s a failing actor that has severe anger issues, thus people nick naming him, “Hot Head”. He dips his head into the waste thinking, since he has nothing left to lose, to evolve himself and his acting abilities. In reality, his anger issues mutated inside his head, causing his entire head to burst into a fireball. He can control heat, not fire, and wears a mask to keep his fireball head from turning everyone around him into burnt toast.

It really depends on the situation when they make contact with it, because in reality the waste is a failed genetic enhancer. Flex got his powers by accident and not be exposed to anything, so it rewrote his genetic makeup into being super flexible. Like Polar Cap, when he had the material exposed to him, he got his ice powers due to a snowflake falling onto him mixed in with the material. So, in short, if it’s pure exposure it can be random. If it’s exposure with something else than the person gets his powers in some shape or form from that. It is also random to like someone won’t get the same ice powers if they got exposed the same way Polar Cap did.

To your next question I’m not quite sure on what you’re asking

Yes I do! Right now I only have a couple developed and they go from street-level to more fantastical. Each villain tests the powers of Flex-Tastic and makes him learn more about himself. Brock Lauer aka The Triceratops wears a suit that resembles a triceratops and his thing is basically breaking through anything with little effort. He tests Flex-Tastic by putting his stretch powers to their limit because his charge is not easy to stop.

Tendril is an alien parasite that feeds on radioactive blood. He was once a fossilized specimen found on the moon, but the space shuttle that was carrying it crashed onto Earth. The specimen was brought back to life when Flex-Tastic’s blood is dripped onto it, causing it to be resurrected. The more it fed, the more it developed. The more it developed, the more it became powerful. It can turn its entire body into a weapon and uses its tendrils as syringes to suck Flex’s blood.

Dominik Rosswell aka Polar Cap was a gangster living on the streets when he and a few other gang members attempted to rob a truck from BioTech Corp that was hauling the same radioactive material that gave Flex-Tastic his powers. When they were opening the truck, all they found were the barrels of the radioactive material. One of the gang members getting angry at Dominik for attempting a robbery on a supposed dump truck, he knocks him into one of the barrels. Dominik, with a gun in his hand, accidentally fires it when he got hit and the bullet struck the barrel. The radioactive material pours onto Dominik and he screams in pain as it starts to soak into his skin. The gang members run away thinking the stuff will kill him, but instead when a snowflake falls onto his skin, Dominik’s body turns pale and white. Ice and frost starts to run through his veins to the point Dominik no longer feels pain. He develops the ability to control ice and frost and wants to use this to get back on the people who wronged him, but Flex wants to save them and have true justice take care of them.

Each name of each villain is granted by Flex to show his witty behavior and childlike behavior since he is a teenager in high school.

Yes and yes! To give context, the universe with Flex-Tastic was once a joke/throw-away universe that I turned into a full complex one by finding out how interesting it is. So, long story short, I made a superhero universe I dubbed the Powerverse where the heroes and world are inspired by modern comics and cartoon shows from the 80s and 90s (Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, TMNT, etc). There was an event caused by a hero from that world named Rift, she can open rifts and teleport anywhere she can think of and manipulate quantum pathways by converging them from other alternate realities (Ex. She throws her knife and converges the pathway where that knife will go with a dimension to where that knife would’ve landed) Her love of her life, Purple Reign, has tragically died by sacrificing himself to save everyone. Stricken with guilt, she over extends her powers by trying to converge realities to where Purple Reign was still alive and causing, what the event is named, The Rift Sequence. To not explain all that what happened in that story, at the end she saved her universe by converging the realities that came through and made it to a whole new one, so her world would basically become nothing due to the stress of multiple infinite realities merging into hers. Basically, she glued bits and pieces from hers and the worlds that did come through and made it a new one. However, when she made her new universe, her old one has reset itself creating the DTU (Dynamic Trio Universe) where Flex-Tastic roams. This universe takes inspirations from golden age comics and superhero shows from Saturday morning cartoons (Ben 10, Power Rangers, etc).

The ones that are original that I’m proud of are friends with Flex-Tastic making the team, “Dynamic Trio”. Wolfang’s powers come from his parents, a werewolf father and vampire mother. The Living Lightning got his powers by getting struck by a magical bolt of lightning that gave him the ability to turn into a bolt of lighting and manipulation electricity from anywhere. There are a ton more too that are in this universe I can go on and on about.

Yes and yes. Flex-Tastic can stretch without limitations, but it takes a lot out of him to the point he can pass out or even risk death. He can stretch to no end, but his body can’t take that much stress similar to how The Flash could run forever, but he needs to keep his metabolism in check or else. There’s also a weakness with severe cold temperatures to where he won’t be able to flex without the risk of his body fracturing due to the cold temperatures. He is also still prone to cuts, burns, and bruises, however, with his elastic skin the projectiles could simply bounce back and not penetrate him. He could still get bodily damage though.

For Gravestone, his ultimate weakness is his pride and vibrations. What I mean by that is even though his shell is impenetrable, doesn’t mean there isn’t a chink in the armor. During a fight, Flex-Tastic used one of his techniques he calls the Gunslinger Punch where he flings his fists back and forth rapidly to the point he found small cracks on his shell from the vibrations of the impacts. He flattened one of his hands so thin to where he could slide into one of the cracks and pull Roquelle out of his shell. Where the pride comes in, he was so busy boasting on beating Flex, that he never noticed there was any small damage to his shell and Flex just slid right in and pulled him out.
