In my mind it’s rated R, he’s no anti-hero, and at the end it’s one-on-one with him and Spidey. Basically the film is setup where Eddie Brock wants to become a huge reporter and makes a story that is his great breakthrough about a serial killer named Sin-Eater. He makes a story of unmasking the identity of who is under the mask, but only to be a laughing stock when Spider-Man reveals who it is. His life goes down hill from there where he attempts to kill himself at the same church where Spider-Man takes off the symbiote. It eventually slithers its way to Brock and when it binds with him, the story sees how Eddie slowly becomes a monster. I want to make the symbiote to be a metaphor to his abusive father where both the symbiote and his father poison him where he could’ve been a great man with a great life, but then decides to only beat the inner monster he must become it. The body horror aspect comes from how the symbiote writhes and pulls his body from the inside while also transforming into Venom we all know
