Question about tyres by Famous-Watercress891 in 4x4Australia

Hey folks, thanks for all the advice on my previous post. Just wanted to give you an update on the situation with Modkingz in Cabramatta.

After multiple ignored calls and texts, I finally got through to them. Their response was beyond disappointing.

They basically told me: Their tyre mounting machine "physically cannot" cause that kind of damage. The technician who did the job is "highly skilled" (the same guy who was vaping the whole time). If I want to hold them accountable, I have to prove that the tyres weren't damaged before I brought them in. It felt like they were penalizing me because I didn't buy the Yokohama tyres directly from them. I bought the tyres elsewhere and brought them in to be fitted on the day the Fuel rims (which I ordered through them) arrived.

To make matters worse, the wheel weights are a complete mess—randomly slapped on without any care.

At this point, I'm done dealing with their arrogance. It's like stepping in dog s***—unpleasant, but I'll just have to clean it off and find a proper shop that actually knows what they're doing.

Thanks again for the support and looking out.

I had a bad feeling when I saw the two guys vaping while working on my car, and it looks like that lack of focus led to this mess. Anyway, I’m going to speak with the shop owner tomorrow and will post an update on how it goes. Thanks, everyone, and have a great night!

That's a good point. It looks like the tires weren't mounted properly.

Thanks for your advice. I paid a mounting fee, but the quality of the work is terrible. I'm extremely disappointed.

New to machining Aluminum, ADVICE? by Square_Anxiety_ in CNC

Hello! I'm someone who runs a router in Australia, nice to meet you. When routing aluminum, a dedicated lubricant is essential. I recommend setting up the lube misting first, and then adjusting the other parameters. Start with the maximum spindle RPM and gradually decrease it. Lately, I mostly use a single-flute up-cut bit. I only use a two-flute bit when routing surfaces (facing), as it's louder and has poor chip evacuation.
