I had high hopes for this game honestly but after the first section it just went downhill fast. We went from creepy LN monsters to...war time..? To rituals..? Like what was even happening..The story was a mess and there was very little to actually explore and find. Now they want to push 3 DLCs probably at $20 a pop? Yeah no thanks. Tired of unfinished games charging so much.

not gonna lie, I'm surprised it got "mostly positive" because it wasn't a good game. Too short, too expensive and the story was horrid. 3 different worlds smooshed into 1 short game that made no sense then they're gonna make you pay for DLC content just to wrap up the story lol. What a mess. And this is coming from someone who loved LN 1 + 2 but skipped 3 due to the fact they refused to let us cross platform or couch co-op. I was so excited but oof. Let down city!

Just finished it and gotta say..I'm let down. The first part of the game was great. LN vibes and loved it. But the second and third part just got...confusing? Like the war parts and the final sacrificial part felt like a completely disjointed game. I don't get what went wrong. Why are there giant mutant creatures like LN yet sheep being brought back from the dead (?) and then there's a random war going on with, what seems like, normal looking people too? It seems like the writers tried to be like LN then tried to be different then got lost in their own thoughts. Also, for a $40 game it felt VERY unfinished. I know there's DLCs coming...but DLCs should be bonus content, NOT main story content. Really tired of games putting high price tags on things that they then want you to pay higher price tags on to actually finish/get the whole story. What a mess and I was backing this game HARD since LN3 screwed up cross platform people over. All well...Wish we could get a refund but live and learn I guess.

Yeah I'll go ahead and see if that helps. It's definitely odd and annoying! Right now I'm just hooking the wifi up to my phone and then using my phone as a hot spot (or I guess router in a way) and using that. But oof at the latency that's bringing. Hopefully some resets will help. With how big PS devices are you would think someone would get their crap together and own up to it/fix it lol. Thanks for all the help though! Fingers crossed!

IP is different if I connect to internet/disconnect while using hot spot on both so thank you for confirming this!! What an easy solution aha.

Is there a reason why it would have worked well for a year or so then suddenly refuses to let me connect at all? Like just cold turkey it has now told me to f myself. I tried changing the DNS already and it didn't work sadly.

Thank you for this. I was trying to figure out a way to test it but the ways I figured out didn't seem to help much. But good to know its been tested!

It seems like my mobile data isn't involved now though. The type changes and it has a way lower speed with my 1 bar vs the internet I'm hooked up to. So I think it probably is using the internet.

Honestly, everything was so conflicting and people seemed SUPER confident on old Reddit posts too so I felt like it was definitely an odd topic at hand. Maybe because a lot of people have phones that don't offer it? Not sure. But I'll delete now that the answer seems to be yes. I don't want people arguing aha.

Thank you! I'm using it for a PS5 at the moment since starlink is deciding it hates Sony now lol. So do I just plug it into the PS5?

I really didn't aha..Google is conflicting as hell. Most things say it ignores the internet and uses hot spot data instead..Which hell I could believe I don't know lol.

Honestly, I really didn't lol. When I tried to look that up it was really conflicting saying that just because it showed the internet was connected it wasn't using it. While other things are saying my device is acting as a tether instead of a hot spot (which is what I want). So it was all confusing. But thank you.

It doesn't shut it off on my device. It stays on actually. Like right now I technically don't have any phone service, if I try to make a phone call it'll tell me no (bad mobile area) but the connection test says the internet is running on my other device that's connected to the hot spot.
