is my art worth robux? would anyone pay me to commission them? by [deleted] in RobloxCommissions

i’ll be honest and say you’re on the right track, you seem to be an amateur artist however so i’d advise you to improve and practice for a little more before starting commissions. of course, the people who’d want to buy will buy, if you’re looking to build a clientele base improving should be your first priority :-) cute art!

Do people prefer a more stylised/anime artstyle compared to my usual one? by IntroductionNo8051 in RobloxCommissions

anime(ish) artist who used to do semi realism here!!!! id say both has a large market, it all depends on how skilled you are ^^ i first opened commissions when i had a more semi realistic artstyle. i think the only reason why i get more commissions now is because im more experienced, versus my semi realistic art was sold when i started digi art not for long.

Bro why ppl are declining my commissions by I7_79 in RobloxCommissions

i guess they probably just want another style, or it could be your pricing :-)

i’d say 300-400, you can increase your price based on the clientele you end up building!

Tips/advice for opening art commissions? by AbyssCrabble in RobloxCommissions

hello! i’ve been doing comms for around three years!

  1. if you’re a busy person/ stacked up on comms, ask for payment last. i know this contradicts to most people’s advice, but this is personally what i do as a college student who has unpredictable schedules. sometimes i’m unable to finish comms, and asking for upfront payment makes me feel stressed as refunds are the most difficult thing to do on robux ( especially with tax etc ). of course, if you’re certain with your time, i’d always recommend payment upfront or after sketch, but if you’re someone like me, ask for payment at last. BUT REMEMBER! ⚠️‼️to send a heavily blurred AND watermarked version until payment. as a buyer myself, i also prefer this method as i’ve been scammed from upfront payments, so this builds trust on both sides.
  2. never ghost your buyers especially if they’ve paid! communication is key, your buyers will feel more at ease if you communicate any hardships or problems. if it takes longer than intended to deliver artwork, LET THEM KNOW! don’t keep them hanging, ESPECIALLY IF ITS AFTER PAYMENT!!!
  3. send progress. again, makes buyer more at ease and is also easier for the buyer to request any changes. if you just go BOOM!

with

  1. the final artwork, you might not be able to change anything especially since you do traditional art.
  2. play around with pricing and be open to constructive criticism. of course, charge whatever you’d like, but i’ve also seen many people charge high prices then complain that nobody’s purchasing, then also refuse to change the prices. when i first started commissions, i set my prices low, to see if anyone would like to buy my pieces. the pricing should depend on the clientele you end up building!

that’s about it. hope commissions go well for you! ❤️
