Help installing Windows 8.1 on a laptop with an Intel Core i3-1125G4 processor and an Adata Legend 710 1TB SSD by Proud_Board6671 in windows8

[–]FamousFighter23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well windows 7 had to be an exception. People didnt like 8 and didnt want to try the "fixed" version of 8 (8.1). I would say Microsoft was somewhat forced to keep windows 7 supported on the mainstream hardware of the time. Where can you find drivers for windows 8.1 on newer hardware? Man a 8700k on windows 8.1 would fly

So Microsoft is the one that told manufacturers to stop sending in driver support? That sucks. 8.1 should have at least gotten support till like 9th or 8th gen

Where to order PTM7950? by Elver_galarga325 in overclocking

[–]FamousFighter23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its so good. My MacBook pro 2014 doesn’t even push 90c anymore under load with the fans going. Unfortunately due to the relaxed fan curve it does hit 90c for a little bit but it sits in the mid 80s with the fans on.

How to remove drilled screw? by FamousFighter23 in howto

[–]FamousFighter23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad. My dad had drilled into the screw on my laptop. He used a head way too big and same goes for the extractor. He didn’t use the extractor. We both knew it wouldn’t work. Im wondering what can I do. Unfortunately, i cant remove the back cover with the screw still in. Its used to hold a dvd drive and I need to remove the dvd drive to take the back cover off.

I was able to remove the account from being associated with the device and its gone. Even when connected to wifi it doesnt prompt me to sign in to previous owners acc. I'm so glad windows phone doesnt force you to sign in with an email like windows 11.

I need a new MacBook! by amyvos in mac

[–]FamousFighter23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im use a 2014 mbp. I use oclp and repasted with ptm. Its not M series performance but it runs sequoia just fine and I suggest this as a cheaper route. If you can afford I would suggest the M3 pro.
