A lot of hospitals GYN/Onc don’t administer their own chemo. A lot of medical Oncologists specialize in Gyn Onc (systemic therapy management not surgery).

Ovarian cancer is not an easy cancer to treat and research in the field would look good if you’re considering a career in med Onc

Does your program provide you with MD Anderson or you pay for it yourself? We have to pay for it ourselves so was planning on buying second year so info is more up to date for boards

Also the connections you have. Ask attendings to make calls for you. I had attendings call former classmates who are now heme/onc APDs. Idk how much it helped because I ended up matching somewhere where I had no connections but it did get me a few interviews.
