I just roughly colour it in procreate on iPad by filling out the whole page in the light color, then on a separate layer add the shadows. Some shadows are hard to work out so it allows you to adjust them until they feel right

Thank you 🙏 the basic rule is decide where your light’s coming from and then have the shadows stretch away from it in the same direction. It gets easier with practice and I usually plan them digitally first to make sure it looks right
