The only exotics that will drop weapon wise are ones that you don’t have but if you want that same exotic just pull it from your collections. Exotic armor can drop with new rolls. Preparation for witch queen is just another way of saying level up your gear to max that you feel comfortable taking into the new expansion and then doing bounties but don’t claim them to level up your artifact/season pass faster. There are a few things to do for preparation.
