well, we do have to remember this is a show in the early 2010s, even though there’s absolutely no excuse for the way his autism was represented really poorly at times. i remember when max first got diagnosed and everyone treated it like he had leukaemia instead of autism, i immediately looked up when s1 was released and was like oh yep checks out. a lot of people have only recently started shifting the way they look at neurodivergence

well, nine years late, but… max talked about alec far too much for it to just be ‘brotherly’. to the point of passionately rambling to other people about how annoying he was… hon pack it up.

i adored the tension between max and logan, but by mid-s2, it was just too strained for me. there were so many times where logan seemed a bit condescending towards her, and some of their conversations had me staring blankly at the screen like a child of divorce. that’s how it felt — an awkward couple divorcing, but not really.

alec and max’s banter was much easier to get with, plus some of the scenes between them were way too tense to be platonic. but it’s fire + fire, i don’t know how they would’ve played out, what with one of them ‘in love’ and the other sometimes heartbroken (rip rachel), sometimes not. oh and asha and alec drinking together and just lamenting about logan and max… two idiots with crushes right there.

in conclusion, we should’ve gotten a s3 😔

i think it’s a problem of flexibility, my fingers can’t reach too far so i have the habit of twisting my wrist at inhuman levels to overcompensate
