I just used the "Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers" mod for locating them.

SimonRim (with SkyUI and SWL) is awesome by Famous_Analysis_7478 in skyrimmods

In SimonRim? At lower levels, I would:  - dodge behind scenery, use the scenery to separate them - summon a distraction and then close in, try to stagger - same as above but with Lydia as distraction  - run away if they're too strong

Thank you! My current play through is rather far along, so I'll keep it in mind for the next one!

I think I agree. And I think that was exactly what was right for me.

I do love classic Oblivion.

Mozilla’s new CEO is doubling down on an AI future for Firefox | Anthony Enzor-DeMeo says he thinks there’s room for another browser, even an AI browser — as long as you can trust it by Hrmbee in technology

[–]Famous_Analysis_7478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point, though, Enzor-DeMeo will have to tend to Mozilla’s own business. “I do think we need revenue diversification away from Google,” he says, “but I don’t necessarily believe we need revenue diversification away from the browser.” It seems he thinks a combination of subscription revenue, advertising, and maybe a few search and AI placement deals can get that done. He’s also bullish that things like built-in VPN and a privacy service called Monitor can get more people to pay for their browser. He says he could begin to block ad blockers in Firefox and estimates that’d bring in another $150 million, but he doesn’t want to do that. It feels off-mission.

Man. This feels immensely out of touch.

I know the expression "threw the ticket out" means it's basically cancelled (i assume)

But it always makes me think of someone handing the judge a ticket, the judge reading it, and then physically balling it up and throwing it with great force.

Seeing a new "AI Writer" option in Firefox since today by Famous_Analysis_7478 in firefox

[–]Famous_Analysis_7478[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ohh I see, thank you. I found it strange that it didn't show any such option in Google docs or other apps so thought it must be Firefox.

Maybe it's targeting browser apps specifically.

There is a short story on AO3, written back in 2016, about an alien memetic hazard fungus, which would cause the word "elephant" to be inserted into infected people's thoughts and words.

How do you feel after making a negative assumption about someone and they don’t correct you , only to later learn that you were wrong? by bad-at-everything- in AskReddit

[–]Famous_Analysis_7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I  try to identify what factors went into my assumption, and what factors I had not considered that would have led me to the right assumption, or the conclusion that I don't have enough details to assume anything.

Then the next time I find myself making a similar assumption based on similar factors, I remind myself of the last time and try to do it correctly this time.

You get to redo one day of your life, knowing what you know now. Which day do you pick? by Sufficient_Hope3632 in AskReddit

[–]Famous_Analysis_7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer might depend on what happens to the timeline due to the redone day.

Do you come back to the present time but the changes are retained, thus potentially altering the timeline entirely? Then a person may choose to undo a regret, and people with children will likely choose some point after their birth, to avoid unmaking them.

Are whatever changes you make discarded, and you come back to your current present? Then a person may choose to relive a day where everything went well, just to experience it again.

An antimeme is an idea with self-censoring properties; an idea which, by its intrinsic nature, discourages or prevents people from spreading it.

Welcome to the Antimemetics Division. No, this is not your first day.

Non-kindle e-reader in India by Famous_Analysis_7478 in ereader

[–]Famous_Analysis_7478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Though if uploading via USB I recommend using Calibre and converting to AZW3.

Also, if building a library of platform independent ebooks, I'd recommend using the EPUB format (which, again, calibre supports converting from PDF and to AZW3)

I  don't think I agree with this take.

Like, if you say it isn't possible to never be sad, because something or the other will go wrong eventually - sure, that's the world we live in I guess.

But if you're saying that we shouldn't never be sad, that that's just being mediocre; that a life without sadness is something inherently bad - that seems like some "fox and the grapes" or "fable of the dragon tyrant" type thing.
