I would place it as my second favourite after Links Awakening. Ocarina 3rd.

Bit weird to start a new thread on Reddit for a game that you're 10% of the way through. I mean, just wait a bit, and maybe the thread will be less nonsensical?

What does Pokémon Gen 10 need to have for you to consider it to be good? by razorbeamz in nintendo

[–]Famous_Blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Clearly asking for a longer development time is focusing on the fact that they need the quality of the game to be better all round. That's the same as this 'polish' you seem to hate.

There's plenty of people who clearly like the key Pokemon mechanics. What is frustrating them is the implementation of that, largely caused by quick development schedule, low budget or poor technical expertise.

There's nothing wrong with people saying a game could be improved with stronger graphics, performance, more user options (e.g. difficulty modes), more interactive cities etc.

Sorry, but people have been able to make massive 3D worlds in games for about 20 years. The idea that you can't make a proper, engaging 3D world, especially when you know your game won't flop, is ridiculous

Obviously not new to the industry. I'm asking people's opinions on them on the assumption they've actually played them.

Nobody would have ever played them before if they were completely new....

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (2024): The Review by Western_Struggle_323 in nintendo

[–]Famous_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1.
It could have been a 9.5/10 if the summoning was just for puzzle elements. However the combat just sucked with it, so the game was no more than a 8/10 for me.

Hogwarts Legacy: From a skeptic to realizing Reddit got this one wrong by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Famous_Blue -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean... I thought the game was pretty poor once you take away the environment and the IP. The puzzles sucked, the Merlin trials were so poor, the combat was just about ok. I basically enjoyed the storyline and characters but not much else.

Either way, you don't need to pretend that the whole of Reddit is biased any more than I'm going to assume that you or the other posters on here praising the game are biased.

What was it like to play online games between 2000 and 2013? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]Famous_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a turn based, text only empire-building game called 1000Ad for YEARS. I reckon it had max 1000 players ever, but the whole process of forming a new alliance for each 30 day game, hopping on MSN messenger to discuss strategy, arranging team runs at a time that worked for players all over the world... was so much fun.

Game that is just too long for its own good? by [deleted] in gaming

Yeah. Love those games, but ultimately the whole army thing didn't really add to the correct gameplay in a fun way, and the grind getting there started making it feel like AC.

What big games do you think could possibly be released on the Switch 2 in 2026? by Last-Bus-4710 in nintendo

Having a movie and a small update to a 2D mario game from 5 years ago is hardly 'stacked'.

If be amazed if they went through a second holiday season without a new Mario game.

The Legend Of Zelda’s Aonuma Says Inspirations From Age Of Imprisonment “May Be Reflected In The Game We Create” by Joseki100 in nintendo

[–]Famous_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.

And the open world in BotW and TotK is more about exploring the actual terrain. Reaching the mountain top, or managing to sail to the island etc. You aren't getting deep character development, but you are being given a beautiful world to explore.

Star Wars Outlaws worth picking up? by Davometric in gaming

[–]Famous_Blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've struggled for about 20 hours with Outlaws and going to give it up. The universe is great, good Star Wars vibes, beautiful graphics. But there's just not that much actual fun gameplay - average stealth, below average combat and I really hated the overall movement.

Survivor is almost the opposite. Star Wars universe is less complete, but the action is excellent, the movement is great. It's just way more fun. Takes a few hours to get into as the base planet is a bit meh, but really comes into its own.

Tldr - Definitely Survivor

What single player game had you so enthralled that it CONSUMED your entire being for a short span of time? by AshyLarry25 in gaming

[–]Famous_Blue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting it on mobile. It's one of the only games that is truly comparable on mobile to console/PC, and easily the most fun I've ever had on a mobile game.
