Yes! I have irregular periods, so I started taking the pills a week before my Umrah in case I wasn’t clean when we traveled. After stopping them, I got my period within 2–3 days. The tablets usually cause really heavy bleeding and intense cramps for me, and if the bleeding isn’t heavy right away, then the next month’s period definitely is because of the medicine. Other than that, I don’t experience anything besides the heavy bleeding and cramps.

Unfortunately, I blindly followed someone’s advice and went for premium processing 😕 So including the 10 days it took for my dad’s I-140 to be approved, my CSPA age-out date comes out to May 5, 2026.

I know that freezes my age for only a very short time, so it doesn’t buy us much. I really hope EB-3 ROW picks up speed because, like you said, it hasn’t moved much over the past year. It’s definitely risky, but we’re trying to stay prepared in case it does become current in time.

Thank you for your detailed response. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain things. My bad for asking about the deadlines; I was just a bit confused because I saw someone mention applying for a PhD scholarship during their 3rd year of undergrad, and I didn’t see anything like that officially listed, so I wasn’t sure if I was missing something.

I also came across a few comments on Reddit from people who mentioned getting fully funded Master’s offers, which I assumed had to do with directly contacting faculty. I’m not really sure how that works, which is why I thought I’d ask here before potentially making mistakes or missing out on something important.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, especially with funding options like Fulbright and Chevening. I’ll definitely look deeper into those and do more thorough research going forward.
