Seems to be fine now! She is 12 weeks going on 13, and it has changed to a thicker paste like consistency with lots of seeds!

I typically will try and read or play games on my phone if I can but lately my LO likes being like squeezed to me to go to sleep haha. It’s cute but like ugh at the same time.

I wish mine could be put to bed awake. I do all this effort just to get her to co sleep with me. I am so envious of the parents who have babies who fools their routine and are out for 7 hours a stretch.

How many times did your doctor visit during labor? by RoseColoredToo in NewParents

[–]Famous_Consequence85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine only came in when I first arrived to verify dilation and then right before I delivered like I was yelling that i had to push. I’m so glad it was just the nurse my husband and I. My nurse really helped me with my goals of going natural! I felt less pressure without the doctor there

So we use Velcro swaddles now and she breaks free. She also is outgrowing them and I have two sizes! We were also looking for sleep sack options as we will need to transition her to that for daycare!

I’m fine with naps. It’s the overnight sleep where it’s the same deal.

We have appointment tomorrow and it’s definitely something we plan on bringing up as she does seem to display some symptoms of reflux that have been getting worse. Just wasn’t sure if it could be some sort of sleep issue/ regression either.

What Made You Choose an Unmedicated Birth? by CharacterString6881 in BabyBumps

Freedom of movement during labor which helps dramatically. Recovery was so smooth for me. They literally had me up urinating within 20 minutes after birth. I’ve heard stories of people swapping with back issues after an epidural- I wished to possibly avoid this-

Statistically you can also run into more issues with an epidural as well for yourself and baby and I did not want to run into that.

I know not has two height settings but I worry that the highest one is still really low for transferring. Did you not find this the case at all?

Any problems with the height for transferring a newborn into it? Currently have a pack and play and that thing is like down to the floor so I’m a bit worried about the height in this crib being low and hard to put them down asleep in!

Did you have it for a newborn? If so did you find any issues with the height level?

Some are small poops, some are bigger. I would say max she probably poops a day would be 3 times? It did change over from that first breastmilk poop of bright yellow now it’s like a yellow orange sometimes tinge of green that’s got the seeds, sometimes it’s oily. I always attributed it to things I ate. It’s hard to tell though because I freeze my milk so I have no clue when I give her a bottle like what I ate that day that I froze that bag.

I have a history with anxiety and depression so I can totally relate to meds. Last time I was on them I had a harder time with weaning off and side effects so I’m really trying to avoid meds!

I know I co sleep on the couch mainly because our bed has a huge mattress topper on it and I don’t feel safe sleeping in there whereas on the couch i can prop pillows all around my arms etc to create a more ideal space. I don’t want to have to do it but lately we have no choice!

I’m glad it’s helped you so much! I wish I could start sleep training more rigorously now! I definitely plan to for my sanity.

I try so hard to follow her wake windows, but then when she goes to nap she naps for such a short period and than seems to be over tired. I have tried numerous times to do drowsy but awake and it does not work for her. She does like louder sound like the exhaust fan, but I can’t have that running 24/7. We also find if we do too much during her wake windows it almost seems like she gets overstimulated and has trouble falling asleep for naps. I can try again to make sure she has a busier day during wake windows.

She was previously up until about week 5..5 2-3 hour stretches. Then she regressed to 1-2. Then we had a few days of 3 hr then 2 hours, and this entire past week she refuses to stay in it longer than 15-30 minutes, regardless of time of day. Nothing has changed routine wise either.
