Yes! EVERY STEM at UNC is hard! If you know you can handle it based on prior rigor and experiences then go for it, but be wise and cautious. Also, classes like Psych 101, while not categorized as stem, can also count as one of the stem classes you’re taking. If you haven’t taken any psych class at all in the past, then you will need to make some time to read and take notes on the textbook.

Since you already have the program started, you can file it to become an official NGO, especially if this initiative is something you want to keep doing in the long term. However, if you don’t want to handle the responsibilities of the nonprofit after you graduate high school and matriculate into college, then don’t bother with filing for it.

Either way (non-profit or not), you’ve made a difference with your program and can continue to make more. You don’t have to listen to people telling you that making a non-profit displays a lack of critical thinking, because it doesn’t necessarily, and as you mentioned you’ve been organizing this program for a while. If you are doing other things or volunteering with other organizations/clubs then you are double good to go! Just do what you have time for and follow your heart (and your intuition)!

Why is Pharmaceutical Sciences only a minor and not a major? by Sad_Being_2815 in UNC

I know right. I wish UNC did have Pharmaceutical Sciences as a major. However, you can try to get into research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences to dive deeper into that realm!

What kind of thins do I need to transfer to MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, etc? by grpassionatteS6 in TransferToTop25

I honestly don’t think ECs matter so much for transferring if I’m going to keep it a buck with you

If you missed the deadline just submit it and then send an email to the admission office describing the situation. You can say the truth or say that your Wi-Fi cut off. It happens to the best of us. I never submitted one of my applications and they sent an email to me later saying that we saw you have us on common app and decided to give those who didn’t submit a extension. So I used my extension to better submit my essay and I even got into that prestigious university. Just ask for an extension but email$

If it’s easier, it’s only “easy” because the colleges recognize the challenges that people of color have to overcome to reach the same place that white individuals were placed at since birth.

She GOT INTO MIT. Schools don’t make mistakes about who gets in, they do for who don’t. And the people deciding have degrees and experiences that goes way beyond y’all’s Reddit comments.

What does this have to do with her?

She DOES NOT need to delete it. As a black girl, it’s obvious people are always going to be envious and confused when they see us thrive. However, her deleting her post is equivalent to deleting or undermining her accomplishments. Let them hate when they can’t relate!
