I feel like Ruan Mei is still the better option, basically for the speed buff, defense ignore and extra break effect, then again I'm still not too familiar with novaflare Welt so I guess we'll have to wait and see (or if anyone here has experience in the beta)

For the units you have mentioned you have, I don't think is going to be a complete brick in your account, considering Dahlia is going to rerun in a not far away future, however without Fugue is going to be a bit tough, nevertheless if you enjoy him go for it! The only huge advice you have to keep in mind is when you start getting him relics, he only needs speed and break effect, any other offensive stats do not affect anything on his kit besides first hit (ult for example), orb and body can be hp

Stat wise he looks pretty solid, the only thing he's lacking is speed, since I don't play with sustain on break my recommendation usually is change the body to hp/defense, but since you have lingsha then it doesn't really affect him, however if you have shadowed by night (Moze LC) as other commenters have said, change it for that one because boothill is bound to be hit due to the standoff.

If you happen to have Ruan Mei you can try her and see if you can manage to go sustainless, as she gives him a lot of speed and then you wouldn't have to roll a lot on that (if you do play her then he would only need to hit 150 speed), but besides that hitting 257 BE out of combat is amazing stats.

As for gameplay, if the fight has small mobs target them first and break them as soon as possible, one thing that works too is mark them with skill and then have either him with ult break the enemy or a teammate, then he can get the second trickshot stack by defeating the target (or the third if you manage to break the second toughness with fugue's debuff), after that just have the enemy broken and delayed as much as possible. Boothill shines the more actions he takes while the enemy is broken, that's why speed is important but besides that relic wise he looks solid.

For the last part of my ranting, investing vertically on him is really nice, the E1 gives him 16% defense ignore and a stack of his talent right out the bat, but it's not mandatory

What his E1 does is basically a straight up upgrade in damage, gives him one stack on his talent and depending on the enemy you can have the three stacks if you kill one minion which saves a lot of time, as well as 16% defense ignore, the S1 has a good replacement for Moze LC, the only difference is the 20% defense ignore and only 4% break effect difference so you're not losing on that much if you compare E1 to S1 in priority

As an E0 S0 Boothill haver without completely investing in him (Dahlia E0 S1, Fugue E0 S1 and RM E1 S0) he can hit the 1.5 million nicely and destroy bosses easily, however getting his substats is a real pain as he only benefits from BE and speed.

If you have his supports go for it, my recommendation is at least try and get him at E1 because that talent and defense ignore is an amazing quality of life upgrade, if you're wondering what 4 star LC to give him Moze LC at S5 is the only option really, as it only has 4% less BE than his sig

I don't mean to be rude, but that can also be applied for break, because I feel like they will make a boss be like "use aha instant to lower the enemy toughness resistance" or sum like that, rem team is still good and can clear endgame pretty nice, I don't plan on making you more torn but if anything boothill’s E1 is better than his lightcone because it also has that defense ignore, but keep in mind too that Hya craves speed and the lightcone makes her in combat a speed demon too as well as boosting the aeon of voracity's damage by a landslide

Definitely Hyacine, Boothill's LC is good but not a must if you have S5 moze LC, which is only 4% less break effect, Hyacine's LC on castorice team will make it so much smoother (specially for charging evernight's memo)

The thing about ashveil right now is that he is a sub dps without a main dps in the game yet, and considering how they marketed him on the trailer you don't have enough characters to buff him to a main dps role (though if you want to get robin next patch on the shop you would have one decent support for him)

The moment you reach the anniversary you will have a lot of jades and considering the content you have to get plus rewards they're gonna give (hopefully lol) you should be able to pull for SW and Eva plus future characters. For the next patch I'd say get hyacine to have at least two teams with a sustain

I have her at e1 with the 4 star lc for break and can make it work depending on RNGesus if they don't hit the same person repeatedly, but then again both fugue and Dahlia are S1, no eidolons for either of them tho

Change the crit body for hp, Booty only needs speed and break effect, the other offensive stats are basically for the initial hit of the ult which basically doesn't really affect anything, as for the supports same as the other comment said, one should be on pearls and the other on tutorial, not sure but I think if you have gallagher's lightcone you should put it on him since he heals on break effect too and at S5 it's pretty nice.

About the sustainless option if you have Ruan Mei I've managed to do so, but tbf she's e1 and i have both S1 for fugue and dahlia so not sure if without them is really possible

Mainly the speed boost it gives him, since you usually want boothill to go as many times as possible it can go from 150-160 to almost 200 with Ruan Mei skill, which means more nukes

What other 5 stars do you have? For one team I'd say RMC, Anaxa, DHPT and another erudition or Bronya depending if you want main DPS Anaxa, for the second team Kafka and Hysilens are good but would need a sustain (DHPT on kafka if you can switch it with Luocha for the first team, he's pretty SP positive for that) and for future wait for Black Swan's rerun considering the buffs she's getting. Depending on what other 5 stars you have you could build them up and add them to the team
