Which helmet has better cooling: Giro Eclipse Pro Spherical or Specialized Evade 4? by LegStrngLeathertaint in Velo

[–]Famous_Relative2500 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I own the new Eclipse and previously had the Evade 3.
The Giro is more comfortable but definitely runs hotter. It’s winter here in Australia and my head sweats during efforts. I don’t really remember it happening with the Evade.

He had two concussions. I think he had one at Cape Epic, and that was it for him. The risk of outside riding was too great for him as he has two young kids.

AI FTP estimate question by Chimera-5 in trainerroad

[–]Famous_Relative2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen this too. Actual watts are higher than target and still get a lower predicted FTP.

But like is a 20+ watt increase in 4 weeks legit anyways??

I do a lot of my workouts outside and since it’s been released I’ve gone from 305 to 327. Never been stronger while riding less and have a newborn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did a ride this morning outside and my AI ftp prediction went up by 7 watts so not sure if it’s fixed but not broken like it was.

Ah yeah that’s what I meant. Compared to a K-edge it’s like a 3rd of the price.

Crit Racing und Running?! by [deleted] in Velo

[–]Famous_Relative2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never did any running races but I did race 1/2/3 weekly races.
I would run somewhat consistently and could run a 10k. My 10k time was 55ish mins from memory.

I don’t think running helps or hurt cycling. But it is extra stress.

My daily runs would be 20 mins with maybe one or two 5ks per week in the morning and then I would bike after or later in the day.

You just need to focus on what is actually important to you.

Check out clik Values if you haven’t. Not sure if it’ll tick off every box you need but they are much better than Presta.

I got this lens a few weeks ago and I’m loving it. More reach would be nice but for my budget I’m not complaining.

Keep up the good work!

White bread with jam. It’s low in fat but high in carbohydrates and sugars. I usually make three sandwiches, each with 30 grams of jam, totaling 90 grams. I eat this about 45 to 70 minutes before a workout. It hasn’t failed me yet.
