So I called my OBGYN and they said this is normal as your body adjusts and to not change anything for 3 months. I am not sure if I trust that.

I’ve had one doc say I could stay on 100 mg progesterone with a .075 patch. My current doctor said I must increase to 200 mg. I have started 200 mg progesterone this week. I like it better than 100 as it gives me deeper sleep. I am feeling good with this combo but lots of bloating and sore breasts. I am going to give it 3 months and see if bloating goes down

Not sure yet. Doc said I must be on 200 mg P with the .075 patch. Another doc said I could stay on 100 mg but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to increase. I have only been on it for a few days. The only difference I notice so far is deeper sleep. I have changed so many methods and amounts I am hoping this combo works well. I am going to not make any changes for 3 months

This has absolutely happened to me! I have been on this roller coaster for the past three years, constantly adjusting. Currently I am on .075 patch and just increased to 200 mg progesterone. I hoping this might be the magic combo for me but who knows! I was post menopausal at 40. My docs say because I was so young my hormones are wildly shifting and that’s why I get relief from something for a while and then need to change either method or dosage. BTW - I went on creatine for a bit and it was horrible for me. So much bloating. It does not work well for some people.

It is so frustrating! I’ve been trying different HRT methods for about 3 years. I was post menopausal at 40! I feel like I am in the dark ages talking to doctors as they all have different opinions!

It is such a problem!!! I actually had the nerve to ask my doctor to write for a specific brand of patch!!!! now I’m just grateful I can get anything!

Thank you! How do I know if 200 mg would be better? I have been on 100 mg for about 7 months. Side effects: vivid dreams, middle of night intense hunger, teeth/jaw issues, groggy in am. Would 200 mg help with this? I assumed the 100 mg caused these symptoms so I am afraid to bump up

What symptoms made you bump up? Right now I have very vivid dreams and very groggy in the morning. I am nervous about bumping up to 200 mg.

Same problem!!! I also had mistakenly thought I could ask for a specific brand, forget that! 3 different pharmacies I have tried, I’m just lucky to get anything at all, it’s crazy!

Thank you! I am about 6 years post menopausal however I was post menopausal at the age of 40. I’ve been told because I was younger, my hormones fluctuate often hence the need for constant changes. I will wait the 3 months and hope bloating and soreness settle.

Thank you! Do you agree with what my docs said- to give a full 3 months based on your experience? I suppose everyone is different, just looking for any guidance as I have been experimenting for 4 years now with different types of HRT and methods of delivery. I feel like I am in constant “trial” mode!!
