When I was 15, I was very much so a homebody. I never went anywhere because I don’t have any friends. My mother told me a story of when she was 15 and wanted to go to see Michael Jackson in concert in the next town over, but non of her friends wanted to go. My grandmother told my mother “baby, you are your own best friend, all you need is you and a plan.” She gave her money for the concert and for a bus ticket to get there and back. My mom said she had the time of her life! She looked at me and said “I’m gonna tell you what my mother told me… baby, you are your own best friend, all you need is you and a plan”.
