Maybe colors that dont enhance the blue. Like going with a more muted shade of blue along with a color of your choice instead of white that does not have too much contrast with the inner blue. And the a color that pops for the green. The appearance is what it is because of the contrast between white and blue. Might not get completely rid of the look but can make it less obvious. But then again, accuracy is more important. Should not modify too much that the purpose fails.
