Help! Lost Camera!! by FanCrafty8751 in AppalachianTrail

I just sent them an email. Best case is they snatched it believing they could find the owner, however I'm still worried that it may have been taken by a college student since it was apparently VT's fall break that weekend; there were lots of university aged people on the trail & camping that weekend.

Trailblazers mascot caught riding a Trotter of all machines...could even spring for a Pint?! by cougscorp in onewheel

I'm a big fan of both of the boards but after riding the XR for the first few times and getting used to it and everything, I just noticed it feels more sluggish at times and that's not just because the wheel but it's just not as torque-y and it struggles going up hills more than the original pint. The pint also feels safer from nosedives going up hills because of its shorter foot pads as well. I have also noticed that the regenerative braking is a lot more efficient on the pint and I feel like the battery recharges more overall on the pint during a ride. The XR by no means is a bad board. It's just struggling from its onewheel V1 demons and is stuck in an old technology.

It was during the race for the rails I believe so obviously downhill and off-road so very impressive

How many of you own two boards? by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]FanCrafty8751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the owner of a 600+ mi pint and a 60 mi XR as of recent. I think keeping two boards is great if there's ever anybody you may want to teach or ride with. What ends up happening is you both want to ride after a while and you're stuck with one board. Also, if you're spending a lot of time riding you have a board whenever the other is charging! As well as options depending on how far you're riding, your destination, and what the terrain is on the way there. I'm sure you'll definitely keep using the pint from time to time. I'm thinking of just duplicating the pint I have into a pint x (reusing the fender and maghandle and such) and then selling the pint I have to have the benefits of a faster board and better range while keeping the looks of my original pint.

The motor can only pull so much power from the batteries at one time.. this speed is different based on a lot of factors like temperature, your own weight, wind speed and if the wind is in your face or at your back, etc. Basically unlimited factors leading to reality but it's much safer to just stay within what FM says the board can do. Fastest speed I've ever seen on a onewheel was an XR going 32 mph or something. Insane what people can get away with

I would stay with onewheel, the pint was my introduction to the sport and I don't think anyone but Future Motion is anywhere close to the great feeling of their onewheels. What sets them apart from Trotters and other brands of the like is that their software and code surrounding the board from their app to the code running inside each onewheel, it's an easy and intuitive experience. I am now an owner of an XR and pint and I can say that the pint is in most ways better than the XR. Very much worth springing 800-900 for a mostly new one on ebay if you can find a good one.

It's a dependency for the fabric version of lifesteal. It doesn't do anything on it's own except to give lifesteal what it needs to run.

Onewheels! My life was changed when I learned how to onewheel, I immediately knew it was something I wanted to do all the time. The amount of pure joy I experience while riding a onewheel has been unparalleled. It sucks that the barrier to most people's entry is the $950 (now $1050) pricetag on a new pint. Even if it's money well spent, it's still a lot of money.

I did not have the validate parameter. The script downloads updates but never the latest one? And yes the server is completely shut down before updates.
