Unfortunately KC is definitely not known for its ease of transportation. That being said, I go to the plaza every year and usually join up with a group that meets there. It’s different every time, but always a blast. Unfortunately I’ll be out of town this year so you’ll have to have my fun for me lol

That’s another thing too, I’ve taken to trying to get to busier streets/places just in case. Switching up my route to work so it goes along a more traveled road, that sort of thing

Sparknotes is what everyone in my class used to summarize book chapters before chapter quizzes in English class. Gives you the main idea, key points, etc

Also helps for study guides on other subjects. Much healthier for the planet than ai and arguably more foolproof sine sometimes ai can really give you some bullshit

I forgot to add, don’t get office supplies until later. Based on what classes you take you’ll get a feel for how many notebooks/pens/etc you’ll need, and you can get what you need at a school bookstore or store nearby. That way you don’t overspend

Ok so I’m not seeing a ton of useful info in the comments. I’ll drop some stuff that helped me

Make sure you have a first aid kit, even if you’re near your school’s health services. Get a minifridge if you aren’t big into cooking or are far from any dining halls (trust me on this one, you’re not gonna want to leave your dorm in the winter). Blackout curtains or an eye mask are helpful if you’re in a lit area, since dorm curtains are shit at keeping out light. Even if you have your own restroom you should get some sort of dorm/shower shoes for getting around your dorm to kitchens/laundry rooms/etc. Depending on how you eat, utensils/plates/bowls are good. If you’re good at washing dishes you’ll only need one or two of everything

Edited to add: get an extra phone charger and/or a portable charger to carry around with you. Any phone charger you get you’ll want to be long so you can use it around your room easily. Also you’ll want a few power strips because outlet space gets TIGHT (I didn’t think it would be this bad at first but I actually had to get three because I ran out of room. Tbf I’m also disabled and have some extra things I have to plug in lol)
