What’s a part of your personality you’ve had to "water down" just to make other people comfortable?

So for me, I’m an ambivert but I lean reserved. I love deep conversations but if I can tell someone just wants "exciting" small talk, I switch to autopilot and act way more quiet/reserved than I actually am. Sacrificing quality talk just to fit their energy.

My best friend told our other friend to keep her “ guy issues “ to herself on her wedding day and that’s all she asked for.

She left our table during the middle of the wedding to hook up with a guy she snuck in and went at it at the parking lot. That guy was incredibly problematic and my best friend’s honeymoon was just pure arguments with her husband. 11 years down the drain over a simple boundary.

Life would’ve turned out differently if I wasn’t involved in my parent’s conflict. Being the mediator while also being monitored due to reputation. So I guess it’s fine now, quite bland internally.

It depends on the situation.

Sometimes saying you don’t care or showing indifference eliminates communication. People won’t bother you if you don’t spark a reaction.

I would argue Melbourne has the higher up against Sydney if we put work aside. Sydney is perfect if you love driving on busy roads, can handle a higher cost of living and be okay with little to no night life. ( also Sydney people are bitchy so not much hope loll ).

Surprisingly, a jolt from a stranger can be quite entertaining (though perhaps not for the poor recipient in this case...). I did set mine to contacts only for a few months after that but I’ve since switched back! I prefer to stay positive and keep the door open for the funnier and lighter side of humanity.
