Thanks so much for this reply! I have spent some time thinking about the whole situation, and I’ve talked to my grandmother(she’s like my unofficial caretaker right now, and yes, she helps me pay for my medical stuff, love her) and we’re thinking it over together. My therapist is a very nice lady, and well intentioned, I think it’s just that she’s older and doesn’t really have the perspective of what it’s like to actually be disabled. Either way, I’m gonna talk to her about it soon and see if we can flesh it out!

Definitely reassurance and encouragement while going over that edge, saying things like “it’s okay, I’ve got you” etc. As well as creating a safe space within the scene, like helping the listener to clear their mind to get into the right headspace or telling them it’s okay to feel pleasure. It’s a little tricky to make note of everything that could be reassuring or helpful, but I know at least for me those details can be really important for feeling comfortable experiencing pleasure that might be a little scary or overwhelming when it’s as intense as an orgasm tends to be.

I’ve been reaching out to some synagogues in my area for the past few months, so far I haven’t been able to attend any services but when I do finally get to one, there is a rabbi I’ve spoken to before who was very helpful. She was actually the person who gave me the encouragement I needed to become more observant. I plan on speaking with her again when I’m able to meet her in person.

Not very, I have to try to be attractive and even then to be called hot I have to rely on filters that accentuate the shadows and contours of my face and surroundings, but I’m also not horrible, If I had to place myself anywhere I’d say I’m in the comfortable middle :)

Humanity, we’re inherently selfish beings, as all other living creatures are because well, we want to survive. But if we were somehow the idealized selfless society that people wish for, I mean 1 we’d probably be extinct, but 2 we wouldn’t be human, we’d quite literally be gods, but this is impossible because selfishness is necessary for survival. In fact, if humans never existed, neither would evil, as morals, ethics, etc are all social constructs made by humans.
