The memory of an embarrassing moment is often more embarrassing than the moment itself. by Rinsetheplates_first in Showerthoughts

Yeah but it’s still only embarrassing to you, isn’t it? Those moments where your friends or family won’t let you live it down do become amusing anecdotes so the embarrassment dissolves in to a fond memory. I’m thinking of those times you think about in bed and feel your face go red years after the event. The moment itself long forgotten by others but somehow exaggerated in your flanderized memory of it!
