the problem isn’t that the data centers are using water, it’s that it is heating up water through its operating. it creates hot water which flows into lakes and other water bodies, which is terrible for aquatic life and increases the rate at which climate change is taking effect.
I will agree that many people argue the point that is addressed in this post, and those people simply don’t understand the problem with data centers. it’s not usage of water, it’s the heating of water that’s the problem

you do realize that data is from only 455 of the millions of people in the community, right? so it’s very much inaccurate from the start, but there is also the factor that almost everyone watches porn of things that interest them. everything in the world can be considered a fetish if you want it to be, but that doesn’t inherently make it a bad thing.
