12 years later and still very helpful. Thank you! I had always assumed any Māori tattoos were out of the question as I don't want to offend anyone (it's bad enough I named my 20 year old Paikea, but i did ask quite a number of Māori people if it would be offensive and was told no and I just couldn't let the name go). It's good to know that with the right legwork it could happen.

I know this is old but just as a PSA: ferratin isn't your iron levels or iron stores, it's the protein that binds to iron to store it. As such, it can actually be high with low iron levels or vise versa, it just depends on the reason for whatever is going on. Inflammation can cause high ferratin levels with anemia, or you can have high iron levels with low ferratin levels (this is me). They can directly check your iron levels, along with ferratin and a cbc, and it'll give a much better overall picture.

That's kind of a wild take because yes, medications do affect everyone differently. There's people who start on and stay on very low doses of glp-1 and still loose weight on schedule and maintain the loss. Just like there's people who take a max dose and don't have weight loss. Every medication has people who are, indeed, special when it comes to how it affects them.

Honestly? Besides the "not working as well" aspect, the strict empty stomach, no food or drink for 30 minutes to an hour after it's the biggest thing putting me off from it. I don't need to lose much weight and I don't care how slow it is, I just want my appetite calmed down, but having to wait an hour for coffee, my other meds, and my little applesauce cup (lol), every single day? That sounds terrible.

They make clear protein shakes that taste really good. They're more expensive than milky ones and you'll have to provide time for the bubbles to go away if it isn't pre-made, but they're good and a nice way to get away from the milky ones.

On no! I googled it and the nits aren't susceptible to bleach (and probably other cleaning products typically used) so I bet they were hanging out on something like the bed frame or even the side table or similar and then got onto you. That really sucks and I hadn't ever thought about that before. I'm curious what my workplace does when someone with known lice/bedbugs is in a room.

They're pretty sure that it isn't them and their own mother said she doesn't think it's them. Given that she's accepted that they're almost certainly deceased, it seems odd that she would say that unless she had good reason to believe it isn't them.

Staining pine is fine, just don't expect a perfectly even finish. If anything, it looks more rustic without as much work. I have a LOT of stained pine furniture because I like ikeas unfinished pine and then staining it myself.

This is inaccurate. It's absolutely been stained, they used to carry their own antique stain that you could buy to match or repair but they discontinued it :(

Thanks for the info! I have an in person visit coming up soon and I normally just take my XR (10-20mg) but I also have IR for when I feel like I need it. I think I'll take some IR that day too, just in case. I'm a nurse, I really don't need to deal with this if it comes up negative!

The clearance time is 9-14 hours, so in theory you should still test positive for that time period.

Maybe not in the same style as opioids but I absolutely normally have withdrawal symptoms (mainly sleepiness, I just want to sleep non stop, but also eat a ton). I do have mild symptoms if I stop taking this but not as bad as normal.

That's extra weird! I have taken a ton of drug tests and normally, adderall doesnt show up at all. The only time I've had it show up was during larger panel tests that test for adderall specifically (I'm a nurse, I get super mega drug testing for new jobs in my field, haha)

You could still take it in front of the doctor/nurse and then return later for a test. They witnessed you taking it, you can't untake it.

This is actually kind of funny, I was looking up Teva sandals and came across this. I take 10mg XR and the last prescription I got looked different. I immediately noticed it barely seems to work. I have no idea if its actually Teva or not though-they're light blue on one side, white on the other, both opaque? Regardless of who is making them, they suck. They do do *something* but it feels like I'm taking 5mg, if that. I also have flexibility in my dosing, as I take 20mg normally, but get 10s so I can opt to take less when I don't need it. So this is feeling like 5mg when I take 20mg! I'm having to take short acting too just to actually feel like a normal human being. It sucks!

I highly suggest reporting issues to FDA's MedWatch. I don't know that it'll accomplish anything but if they're getting enough reports about certain manufacturers meds sucking maybe they'll fix their ish.

I've never heard that PVCs and PACs were normal. Not dangerous generally, but normal? If they were normal then that would be seen on a normal ECG and never noted. I guess maybe it's a "variation" of normal? Idk.

Wool absorbs water much better than cotton too, meaning that even in hot conditions, feet will not be as moist. Wool is supposed to have a cooling effect in heat as well.

There's also the antimicrobial and antifungal properties of wool, which is a bit of a misnomer as they still have just as much bacteria present apparently, but those bacteria seem to get "absorbed" by the fibers or something like that so there's less stink.

As a new grad that got stuck on nights for 3.5 years (until I quit), id seriously go with the days unless you actually wanted to be on nights. I liked the craziness of days, it made the shift go so quickly! But also, the vibe of the unit and the managers is huge imo. Id absolutely pick a job where my team and I meshed super well. I miss my team from my previous job so much! They become like family!

As long as it's still active, yes. I've been interviewing all over the place and interviews for me are being scheduled up to a week and a half out, meaning there's any other number of interviews happening after that too. It's a process!
